You don't have to stop gaming. What you do have to do for a while though is cold turkey the gaming for a while and find another way to find pleasure every day. That could be in reading, meditating, lifting, going out to places, studying, doing homework. There's a lot of things better than gaming. My dad has filled his house already. My blood brother moved out half a year ago, and just last month my mom and dad started playing the 50/50 card with him.
