The NY Post? 1000%. They're a tabloid that happens to lean right.

And dropping Roe has changed that how, exactly?

But that's true no matter which way Roe goes. Men still have no say in the process.

And you know what, that is for those men to deal with.

“do you think we hate you when your backs are turned or something?” This pulls back the cover on the truth: they think we do it because they *do* do it.

It's not, although this is the kind of off the wall stuff that Thought Catalog likes to run with.

supposedly this pair *stages* these.

I already said I agreed that it should be mandatory. I'm just saying that if it ever is, don't be disappointed if it's only like 10% failures.

I guess I need to stress that I think mandatory paternity testing is a good idea, but here's my logic: The only people who will look for paternity tests are people already with doubts. Your second link admits that. "The tests were carried out in cases where there was doubt about the identity of the child’s father." And I just don't see how these numbers aren't affected by that reality. That's why I don't think it's transferrable to the general population.

... no, the drift should be *the other way*. There is no possible way that almost half of fathers are tied to kids that aren't theirs.

You have to remember that there's a *massive* selection bias among the people who request paternity tests. If you took a sample from the general population I can guarantee it will not come back with a 30% failure rate.

It looks like a lot of people are intentionally ignorant on just how simple a paternity test is. It's just a DNA match, right? They run 100 checks on a newborn, this is just one that needs something from the father as well. It's *his* privacy that's at actual issue here, because if he won't submit anything for the test? Then what do you do?

Hmm... I didn't spend a lot of time there but the users in that sub seemed more than willing to talk about the big issues. Interesting that the mod team isn't on board.

I'll just link it. https://np.reddit.com/r/stupidpol/comments/plm64n/why_does_society_find_it_so_hard_to_talk_about/ I think somebody went off the deep end because the mod specifically brings up being against "a fairer intersectionality". Openly denying that groups have different problems entirely is just as bad as the open denial of shared problems that I figured that sub was built to point out. For the record they can buzz off, I'm not replying back like a middle-schooler.

And the sad bit is if she didn't get that from her mother, she'd get it from that one friend who has to turn all her girlfriends against men, I think they call it the 'mother hen'. Spend 25 years demonizing 'nice guys' and see what you're left with.

No, but I got it from the other side: the class first people. r/stupidpol banned everybody who posted in a thread about men's issues and sent this message along: "Young Men" Thread Cleanup If you believe this ban was made in error reply to this message with: An explanation of what the subreddit is about Why your comment(s) in that thread are not idpol

I was this close to downvoting because the first 4 slides sounded just as presumptuous and pretentious as the wokies that are the problem.

Ah, I found it. She sees no value in it and wants other girls to feel the same. In just a few short years, Anya Taylor-Joy has delivered some amazing — and amazingly varied — performances in numerous films and TV series. Yet to hear her tell it, she should be just as celebrated for the roles she's turned down as the ones she's played. As Taylor-Joy told The Guardian, she refuses to accept the traditional Hollywood "girlfriend" role, whose sole function in a movie is to serve as love interest for…

I read an interview with the star, Anya Taylor-Joy, where she apparently refuses to be a girlfriend in her roles.

An author named Norah Vincent did exactly this for over a year, and turned it into the 2006 book 'Self-Made Man'. Excerpts: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2006/mar/18/gender.bookextracts Here's one of her takeaways: If you have never been sexually attracted to women, you will never quite understand the monumental power of female sexuality, except by proxy or in theory, nor will you quite know the immense advantage it gives us over men. Dating women as a man was a lesson in female power, and i…

The problem is, he's going to find other women like rogerebert.com's reviewer or Alyssa Rosenberg at the Washington Post who were not only not bothered by the movie, but actually bothered by the people who had a visceral reaction to the movie.
