Treat everyone you meet with mutual respect, and stand up for yourself when it matters. Not just when your feelings are hurt, but when you are being treated like a doormat. Walk way from people that can’t do that, and don’t be mad at people walking away from you when you couldn’t treat them that way. I mean it’s not quite that bad, but it’s risky for sure. A good marriage is awesome, but rare. And yeah it’s ultra risky so just trying to add a bit of hope there I guess.

No, not for guys. Not only is it a coin flip if you will get divorced, but alot of the marriages that don’t end in divorce are just under the threshold of misery to not divorce. Thats like a 15% chance of something resembling success (if that). It’s Russian roulette.

Most women do. Really. You will find tons of support from female family members, managers, friends. In a relationship the rules get dicey. You end up in what plays out as a zero sum game. Whatever you need in a relationship is viewed as a net loss to your partner. Women aren’t bound by chivalry or fair play in a relationship. They are congratulated for playing dirty. In most states you wouldn’t be expected to or legal able to if you wanted. It just isn’t normally an option you could give them if you wanted. I’ve never heard of a court making a spouse responsible for that, but I’m new to this. It’s one of those dozens of intangible things that people don’t realize is a thing until it’s late in the game.
