I’ve not only been able to easily maintain 6 of my closest friendships since high school (or earlier in some cases) but have also made several new close friends since. If the only reason you’re staying with her is to avoid dealing with the financial/personal logistics of the living situation then that should be a strong indication it’s time to end it ASAP.
