3	In your experience, how do courts view one parent restricting access to the kids? You can also check the local Standing Orders. They usually cover some of this but are weakly enforced in most cases. They should be posted on the Court website. And like someone else said...make sure your final decree is comprehensive and clear. Holidays, birthdays etc. I will say lots of people look to split those days to a certain degree but my suggestion is don’t. 3	In your experience, how do courts view one parent restricting access to the kids? A little tip, she can’t keep you from visiting your kids at school so go have lunch with them. Don’t be disruptive or talk about your STBX at all with them, just go spend time with your kids. If they go to the doctor and she doesn’t share all the details...call their doc and ask them to explain the diagnosis. Judges don’t like when parents try to cut a parent out but they also don’t like when a parent “allows” it without trying to stay involved.
