The problem is that many of the younger people here take this to the extreme and completely give up on life altogether. I don’t just mean dating, I mean they just seem to completely give up. They don’t have a balanced perspective when it comes to Blackpill and it becomes their entire outlook and not in a positive way whatsoever. Some of the most bleak and maybe even extreme posts here seem to come from posters in the 18-22 range. Not to mention many of the frequent posters here, some that seem t…

I hate this feeling of anger and hatred but it feels so damn justified and I feel like if I let it go it would just be weakness and me admitting defeat. I think this is what you need to dig into. Why would it be admitting defeat? What are you trying to win, and what do you actually accomplish by doing so? You need to really become self-aware of these feelings and scrutinize them AS they come up. CHALLENGE them and see if you can come up with alternative answers or rationales. Find a way to analy…

Meds may help to some extent, but they won’t erase negative thinking patterns. These can include all-or-nothing thinking, mind reading, etc. For all of the “evil” things that happen during your day, they are probably outnumbered by “neutral” occurrences. It’s just that the bad things are so much easier to focus on than the good or neutral. It might be good to start by being more aware of when good or neutral things happen. Did someone slow down to let you merge on the highway? Let you cut in fro…

This is not exclusive to women and has been going on since dating apps started. On the men’s side it looks more like: “No libs” “No n*ggers” “Must be between x and y lbs” “No pets” “No kids” ETC I just ignore them like the crazies they are

Just don’t date these women? My last ex took me to a hole in the wall breakfast taco place, and I’ve been to multiple coffee dates. I don’t want to go somewhere expensive just for it to be a date that doesn’t work out for either of us 🤷🏻‍♀️ Some of those options are just common sense.

Maybe that should change. Would you personally compliment one that’s not attractive or does it feel weird to you to do that? I don’t mean like “nice dick bro,” but just a “you look nice today.”

Men have been raised for decades to think it’s “gay” to give each other compliments, which is stupid. They need to learn to that’s is FINE to compliment each other and lift each other up. Women are taught to give and receive compliments freely and graciously because they are taught that they need to be nice and agreeable. Men aren’t raised to be “agreeable,” they’re raised to be dominant and stoic and it continues to be perpetuated by men and fathers. Needs to change.

1000% agree. It’s infuriating that I got paid more to be in marketing where I sat in an office all day than I did as an EMT where I was working off little sleep and in shit conditions. It’s a sad state of affairs when McDonalds pays more than some healthcare jobs.

You’re obviously the exception, but I’m willing to bet that a lot of the guys that say this shit have never worked a blue-collar job in their lives and just want to take credit from the ones that do, like yourself.

Can I ask what you transitioned to after nursing? About to start working in the ER. Excited, but a little nervous about burnout.

Had a opioid addicted patient who was so constipated it was pushing on his DIAPHRAGM. He refused digital disimpaction, but I was cleaning up piles of shit the entire day while he screamed at us for… more opioids.

Was an EMT, thought about going on to try to be a firefighter but ended up going a different route. I enjoyed it, but the lifestyle is rough on your health after a while and the pay was criminally low. There’s a reason you don’t see a ton of older medics and when you do, they’re salty as hell 😂 Planning on working in the ER now as a nurse. I’d actually argue it’s “dirtier” than some EMS/firefighting jobs… only because you have to deal with those same patients, but for a longer period of time. At…

What kind of surgeries are you planning on getting? I'm speaking as someone that was previously socially awkward, now pretty socially competent. The one book I highly recommend reading is How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. It's a great foundation. There are definitely other good ones, but I think this one's a great place to start. Toastmasters is also a great way to practice speaking. It IS geared toward public speaking, but it's a safe space to mess up and get feedback on…

Yup, pretty much what I meant. On dating apps, very very unlikely to happen. The only exception to that would be if they had the same kind of situation as the one I listed above, where they may not have been INITIALLY attracted to me, but the attraction grew. I agree with you for the most part.

Oh no, I don't believe that. I'm referring mostly to situations where they might know each other in a social circle, through work, school, whatever. Upon first meeting, doesn't immediately find her attractive or feels kind of "meh" about her, but then after knowing her for longer ends up building physical attraction. Not saying it happens a lot, but it does every now and then.

I have a naturally deeper voice that I used to be really self-conscious about when I was younger because people used to tell me I sounded like a boy. So I used to try really hard to speak in a higher pitch. I don't really care anymore so I just use my normal voice. If I tried to sound deeper I would just sound ridiculous. I will note that when I'm around friends or in a customer-facing role, my pitch tends to go up because I have to force myself to be a little more energetic. I think women in th…

I think it's still in the minority and also very much dependent on your location. Not very common in the south, even with the younger crowd. That being said, I think guys should be allowed to branch out stylistically if they want to/if it makes them happy. I feel like there aren't not as many options for guys.

Sorry, I just answered the title question. There's a chance that someone else might not find my SO attractive, just like I sometimes don't find myself attracted to other peoples' SOs.

If you're a guy you just have to wear clothes that fit. No dirty clothes, basketball shorts, wife beaters, or flip-flops unless you're at home. You can wear jeans and a t-shirt and be fine as long as they're a proper fit. I WILL say this also depends on what kind of social sphere you're in. If you're upper class, people are more likely to care about a man's style and what brands he's wearing. Women style themselves and stick with trends for other women or for themselves. They know guys don't giv…

I'm just going based of the title question. I'm sure many won't believe my answer, but I don't really have a reason to lie considering it's an anonymous answer. No, I don't think my SO is ugly. I don't think if he fits the 'Chad' definition, but I always found him handsome and the longer I date him the more attractive he is to me. I wouldn't date someone I'm not attracted to because I wouldn't be able to fake the attraction and I wouldn't want to lie to someone about being attracted to them. HOW…

It’s mainly the .IS and some other internet communities. It is truly awful what you see on there and that’s primarily what people (and the FBI) are concerned about. They have been included in a few FBI reports now. I’m assuming (and hoping) that the majority of the people in this subreddit don’t agree with those extreme viewpoints, although I guess we wouldn’t truly know in some cases since Reddit doesn’t allow that kind of language/content anyway.
