I agree 100%. People who never see this story will still think it happened, and it could have all sorts of unforeseen negative consequences for the staff, students, and the school. What's really bullshit is its community college, so there's a good chance she got the all money from Pell grants anyways. I know I shouldn't assume but that's what 90% of students do. I don't know anyone who knew her personally. Small community college, most people call it "Delta Highschool" because that's about what it is. That being said, the email came from campus security so yes, people believed it. Girls were afraid to walk out of their cars after night classes so the campus security would do it for free. Wow. I went to Delta and remember getting the email that the school sent out to the students when it happened. Freaked a lot of people out, and it was just some insignificant girl making shit up.
