I would agree, I tried posting in r/askwomen r/feminists with no luck and I'm a female. Nothing that I thought was that offensive either, my post title was' What do other women think about Amber Heard'... thought that was pretty reasonable but I guess not.

I appreciate everyone giving me their thoughts and was hoping for other perspectives so thank you. I have been highlighting the abuse through social media, I also thought of this since Jason's platform is infinitely larger than mine and decided to post on Reddit to have people to bounce off. Someone else mentioned to not lose focus, and maybe this is losing focus.

Thank you yes I agree with calmly asking. The word pressure sounds negative, although if lots of people calmly asked him, it could still be seen as pressure I guess. We need both males and females to speak out about it. Females who have spoken include some of Johnny's previous partners who came to his defense, also notably Sia and Amanda deCadenet who is an activist and was a friend of Amber Heard.

Asking him to respond to this topic would only be us bringing the topic to the forefront which is not unreasonable imo. By no means am I asking him to voice my personal opinion nor would anyone with their own thoughts do that. Absolutely everyone is allowed to choose their own battles, doesn't mean we can't be asking him either and putting forth ideas to which he might agree with or reject. I wouldn't call it dragging Jason, nor am I asking to cancel Jason, rather just asking him to speak up against violence towards males. He has a lot of influence being the star of the movie so plenty of leverage. If someone you knew was an abuser, pedophile, rapist etc, with full evidence caught on video, would you not react to it? would you just say well I'm not involved in the situation so I'm going to continue to have a relationship with them as if nothing has happened. There are celebrities who have spoken up about this issue. I understand your damned if you do or don't point, although I think that's the type of mentality which keeps celebrities silent on issues that are close to them. I somewhat disagree, as a feminist I feel like we're not checking other women enough. Feminists imo should also be supporting men's rights and not overlooking or making excuses/ engaging in conversation rather than shutting them down. I tried to post this topic on multiple feminist subreddits to all which did not allow my post to go through. My posts were not offensive and just to get their opinions/spark debate. You're right that men need to start fighting harder. We all need to fight together.

I'm a feminist and I think this is absolutely not ok. I have heard the tapes to which she has admitted to hitting him multiple times with items such as pots, vases etc. There seems to be a radical side of feminism mainly promoted by big companies such as L'Oreal who has amber heard in their commercials that don't care about women being abusive to men as long as it doesn't hurt their pockets. When I first heard about feminism, my first thought was that it doesn't seem really equal and how could it be if it is named after one specific gender? What I still don't understand is if feminists are about equality for all, then why don't we just call ourselves equalists? Why can't we push both female and male agendas at the same time? surely by working together it well help both genders?
