Then why do people tell women not to go out alone at night dressed "like sluts"? Doesn't it sort of follow from that that she's going to get raped because men won't be able to control themselves around a scantily-clad woman? I get it, there are bad people out there and not all men should be considered bad. Of course. 1	Good work ladies! I understand the economics behind it, but I don't think it's quite fair to frame it just as a choice that women make. Having children is (usually) a choice that two people make together, and if we're talking biological children, the women has zero choice about whose body the baby actually grows in. If a man wants biological children (a 100% valid life choice), people don't question it, and you rarely see any tut-tutting about how the child will affect their job. 3	Liking my new girlfriend, except for one thing... Have you tried talking to her about it at all? Seems like many commenters here are assuming ill will and telling you to get out, but you seem to really like her. Just say, "Hey, I've been picking up the tab a lot lately. Would you mind paying every other time we go out somewhere, or each of us paying our own way?" If this is unacceptable to her, then that's a huge red flag. 4	FYI they are talking about /r/MensRights over in /r/Women I have heard this sentiment expressed several times recently. Is it really true? I don't read TwoX all that much, but I always assumed it was relatively neutral ground. Posts (or at least comments) by men are common and people seem to be generally welcoming. There was even a post there sometime last week titled, "DAE not find sexism in everything?" Why do you feel that it is hostile? 8	How Rogue Therapists Create False Rape Claims: "a father of two came to believe - and confess - that he had repeatedly raped women, his own children, and friends' children." It's interesting that this is happening in Australia now, since the same issue was a big deal in the United States in the early 90's. If you like personal stories, This American Life did an interesting piece where they interviewed people who had been part of this whole debacle (including a therapist who helped patients recover some crazy "memories" and why she pushed them to do so).
