Everyone is influenced differently by what they see. If you can't read the minds of the whole audience, what do you accomplish by saying a movie influences them? When you blame the media for what people think, you're dismissing the actual reasons they have for what they believe. I, for one, find that extremely insulting, because I take full responsibility for interpreting my entertainment in my own way.

I agree. "Incel" and "nice guy" are plain, straightforward terms that are extremely stigmatized. If someone shows hatred toward incels, we need to call them out as a bigot, not hide the fact that incels exist.

Maybe internet echo chambers have gotten worse in that time, but that applies to all ideologies. Feminists have been up to this crap since the 1800s, and they've been a dominant force in public opinion at least since the 1960s. I certainly remember dealing with this stuff growing up in the 80s.

IANAL, but this looks to me like a hate crime. She was directly targeting boys just for being boys. IMO, that's the very essence of what a hate crime is. (The actual wording of hate crime laws may differ.)

The video focuses on statistical differences between men and women without making any judgment on whether or not the genders should be equal in those areas. I don't really see the purpose in pretending that feminism is what it claims to be.

I think it's useful to mention the mortality gap, not because it's unfair, but because it shows that men may be more likely to take risks that get them a higher pay. That being said, quoting statistics does tend to come off as victimhood mentality. Sometimes, it seems like the only reason we quote statistics is to show how silly it sounds when feminists do it. Maybe when we give a statistic, we should say what talking point we're trying to refute with it, and say how it does so.

"Facts on feminism" implies that they're talking about the actual feminist movement. The video actually gives facts about gender-related statistics. They are things that feminists tend to lie about, but we only know that because we're the dog-whistle target. It seems to show bias in who they want their viewers to be. To be fair, I thought it was pretty clear that Rey had previous force training. She went out of her way to keep her past a secret. Kylo Ren thought she was untrained, but there's no way he could be certain of that. Now, if the Ep. 8 confirms that she was untrained, then we'll have a problem.
