This is satire, right? Like, you're joking? Because this is literally the same post you made yesterday.

...And that's fine. But that's not what OP is saying. He's saying that literally 99% of women like being dominated and every women that doesn't is "nuts." Have your relationship and be happy! But don't claim that it's universal. Many, many, many redpill dudes and ladies claim that it is, and that's why I became involved in /r/thebluepill to begin with. *Edited for grammar.

I can't speak for feminists, because I'm not one, but I understand your discomfort with being judged. For example, I feel uncomfortable that you have declared me to be nuts and an outlier because I'm not a submissive when you don't have a shred of evidence besides personal anecdotes.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/13 06:46 PM

I think it applies to nearly all women. The few outliers are generally nuts. And that's the entire problem I have with red pill. It's not that I disapprove of your lifestyle, although I know it wouldn't work for me personally. It's the never-ending insistence that it's universal, and every human being on the face of planet must live a red-pill lifestyle or there's something wrong with them. No, it's really, really not, so stop speaking for the entire human race.

I disagree OP implied a false accusation in the original comment's wording. That's obviously what he meant, as his edit makes clear. Additionally, I don't think anyone is saying that an accusation of gaslighting should be taken at face value. Rather, his comment was so clumsily worded as to make it sound like he was gaslighting. I agree that no one should assume any abuse accusation is true by default. OP is obviously very sensitive about this issue, given how hurt he would be by a hypothetical …

It was exactly this. HERE he makes it clear he's talking about false accusations, but he didn't specify that in the thread. His cross-posted comment assumes that every single accusation of abuse is automatically false by default. Sure, if you get falsely accused of abuse, leave. You deserve better than that. However, pause to reflect on whether or not you were gaslighting. At least consider it. I've been accused of being manipulative, and at first I was really mad that he would say that. However…

Those CDC statistics are interesting, but there is no reason to interpret any of them as causative rather than correlative. For example, it's well established that sexual abuse can increase the incidence of precocious sexuality, which might also explain the higher rate of depression. Additionally, people who take their religious convictions seriously are less likely to get divorced, and they are also less likely to have many extra-marital sexual partners. Those graphs give the reader no reason t…

A summary of my past attempts to understand what /u/redpillschool 's positions actually are: Bluepiller reads a sidebar article. (Women stop maturing at age 18.) Bluepiller thinks this is silly, and asks a /u/redpillschool for evidence of this remarkable assertion. (Why do you think women stop maturing at age 18? Do you have evidence?) /u/redpillschool claims bluepiller doesn't understand. (You just don't understand the article because you're a woman. Men communicate via hyperbole, and that's wh…

"Veracity" means "truth." Whether or not my statements are factually accurate is not affected by my motivations for saying them. I'm here because I find debate fun. I don't expect to change any minds or prove anyone wrong definitively. Don't be so serious; it's just an anonymous internet forum. Like I said, if you don't enjoy this kind of thing, no one's making you do it.

The definition of "most" is more than 50%. Either way, hypergamy remains useful enough to be of benefit. See what I mean? We were never discussing that point. If you want to debate that point, start another thread. This one is getting unwieldy as it is. This suggests that you're doing so to protect your bias rather than give the evidence full and fair consideration. Please, for my own benefit, demonstrate that this isn't the case. So you are personally insulting me and my motivations, and now yo…

You're making (incorrect) assumptions about my personal motivations and character based on nothing but speculation and using those assumptions to insult me. Additionally, my motivations aren't relevant to the veracity of my position. If you think the idea of a debate isn't worthwhile, then don't post here. I wouldn't blame you at all for not wanting to expose your ideology to the type of treatment it receives here.

I understand it's generally a given among TBP'ers that TRP'ers don't know anything This is a strawman. Nothing could be further from the truth. We think many of your assertions are wrong, but that is a far cry from saying you don't know anything. Why such a relatively minor distinction so important to be worth fighting for? You tell me. You've been insisting on it for the last ten comments. All I'm saying is that I'm skeptical that hypergamy is a driving instinct for most women. Look, I don't th…

Oh, and correlation does not causation make doesn't necessarily mean that the conclusion is wrong. No, but in debate, when the assertion cannot be proven, the null hypothesis stands. Also please remember- I'm not arguing with you that many women behave this way. I'm only arguing that the vast majority of women feel the impulse. Your chosing to reject the conclusion without offering a convincing alternative theory is pretty flimsy. This is a fallacy called the Argument Ad Ignorantiam: just becaus…

You made a fact claim. As such, the burden of proof is on you to support it. Right now, your argument is, "the vast majority of women are hypergamous because I say so." That is not convincing.

Prove that the correlation is the result of causation. Prove that the majority of people misrepresent their incomes.

I don't have that information either. Then stop claiming "vast majority" when you don't have the numbers to back it up. Sure, but $60K is a pretty good salary. Why don't the men in that segment get a lot of messages? I don't know, and neither do you.

I love this! Thank you. I also want to remind my fellow bluepillers that being snarky and rude is likely to drive away debaters, which will stifle debate rather than foster it. Many redpillers here have been very polite and respectful. Please do them the same courtesy. If they're being nasty to you, that's what the "report" button is for. Two wrongs don't make a right. Being rude back to them just devolves a debate into a flame war. Edit: Also: please stop downvoting /u/redpillschool! For the mo…

1.8 million active users studied is a very representative sample. Only a very small percentage of the population goes to college, yet psychologists have no problems drawing all manner of conclusions studying undergraduate students. That's why when you first asked me what constituted proof, I specifically excluded studies that only use small groups of university students. It's not representative. And I still don't have any information on the actual percentage of people who exaggerate and whether …

The OkCupid study says nothing about the actual percentage of people who exaggerate. Plus, people who engage in online dating are a very small percentage of the population. Plus, there's no proof that income inflation is caused by hypergamy.

Only 27% of captives experience Stolkholm Syndrome. Your article doesn't provide evidence of a sex difference in cases of the syndrome. The other great apes are not humans. Studying them can be instructive, but it does not provide conclusive information about human behavior. Men work more dangerous jobs. Somebody has to do them. A half-hearted "we should improve workplace conditions" hardly fixes the problem that there are inherently dangerous jobs out there, and society relies on them. You can'…

Since you have decided I am literally capable of understanding the article, and thus refuse to explain it, I suppose we'll have to leave it aside for now. I do disagree with you; the language I speak and the language of the article are both "English." My primary objection to the redpill is: In short, have your redpill and be happy. Just don't assume it works for most people, and don't dismiss everyone who thinks differently as beta white knight manginas. If you and I can agree on that, then we c…

Okay, you've put forward some interesting hypotheses, but they're supported by only your experiences, and I have no reason to credit your experiences over mine. So men's strategy would be to fight, but women often learned to adapt other strategies to survive the long haul. That's mere speculation. The truth is our evolutionary history was a lot more complicated than that. Can you demonstrate that taking women captive, and killing the men, happened so often as to change the psychology of the enti…

Hey, now. She brought up some good points. You made a lot of fact claims that you didn't support. "Nobody's talking to you" is not an appropriate response to a request for a citation.

Just because something is common does not meet that most people experience it. Theft is common; most people have not been robbed. Asthma is common; most people do not have asthma. Gold diggers are a common trope. The vast majority of women are not gold diggers. Common does automatically equate to the "vast majority."

Something I don't understand about your position is this: why do you think women have different values? I, as an individual, have not experienced men and women behaving as though they have different values. Liars, male or female, are judged to be liars. Slackers, male or female, are judged to be slackers. Considering that you and I have personal experiences that are very different, and we are each drawing our conclusions from our personal experiences, what can you present objectively to convince…

I'm sorry you're frustrated. It's very uncomfortable to have a deeply held belief attacked. I'm glad redpill thought has made you happier. I don't want anyone to suffer needlessly. My main problem with /r/theredpill is, as implied by the name, that those who post in the subreddit tend to think they've discovered a universal truth about women and relationships. The problem is, these truths aren't universal. Sometimes, it's very easy to prove that the statement redpillers make about women are fact…

Sorry about the browser crash. I hate it when that happens. If I understand you correctly, the position you set out to prove with your studies is as follows: Taller men make more money; Women like taller men; Therefore, women like men who make more money. This might be true, but it doesn't address a host of hidden variables. For example, tallness is also an indication of good health, as childhood malnutrition and illness cause growth stagnation. Going through tallness isn't even really necessary…

I appreciate the distinction, but isn't it disingenuous to say, "we don't think women are inferior, we just think they're immature, incapable of honor, and incapable of selfless love." Are you saying that honor, maturity, and selflessness are neither good nor bad, and that /u/SpermJackalope is wrong in attributing a positive value to such attributes?

Before I can address your requests for evidence, I must ask what would meet your threshold for evidence? What precisely would be deemed sufficient to be accepted as evidence? That's a great question. I'm not sure it would be easy to find, but I would be convinced by multiple studies or surveys based on a simple random sample of adult women. One study would be persuasive, but multiple studies would prove the results can be replicated. Most studies use small (15-50) groups of university students, …

I find Evolutionary Psychology to be both useful and interesting as a field of study. The problem is laypeople tend to take pop-science headlines at face value without researching the data behind them, which often point to much more blurry conclusions. I'm no less guilty than anyone else, I'll admit, especially when a headline reinforces something I already believed. It's why we really need to be careful with how we process information; we are so prone to confirmation bias. Science journalists a…

Thank you! Could you point me to where a fellow bluepiller claimed all differences are conditioned? I would like to argue with him/her.

Concerning 6: You provide only anecdotal evidence. This is remarkable considering you claim "the evidence strongly suggests otherwise." Where is this evidence? Concerning 7: You provide only anecdotal evidence. Not only that, but you provide anecdotal evidence for an assertion that I did not discuss: that women respond well to sexually confident men and like being desirable. While I agree with that assertion, it doesn't speak to my point: redpill teaches men to not confirm consent because women …

And the other side believing that these difference are due to the conditioning of society. This misrepresents the blue pill position. We know there are innate differences between men and women that are inherent and biological, both physically and psychologically. Human behavior is the result of the complex interaction between our genetic predispositions and our experiences. We disagree with the following specific sex differences that /r/theredpill purports to exist biologically: We disagree that…

I was just talking about this with someone yesterday. How would you have phrased this question in a neutral way? You say that "misogynist" is a meaningless term that is used for nothing but shaming, but in fact, it has a very concrete definition: hatred of women. The concepts contained in the cited article are factually false, as has been demonstrated. Since this article is factually wrong, subscribers to redpill thought believe this in spite of the fact that it has been proven to them to be fac…

I completely understand what you're saying, and I don't blame them. The thing is, I actually really do want an answer to this question, and I don't know how to word it in a way they would consider neutral. Personally, I'm not using "misogyny" as an insult; it's just the correct word to describe the article.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/13 06:18 PM

I can't speak for OP, but I think the post is requesting an explanation of how this is not misogynistic. We know the redpillers don't consider it misogynistic, but since the assertions in the article are factually, provable false, we would like to know what motivation there could be for believing the article is true besides misogyny.

I second this request. I've been assured that it's not meant to be taken literally, but all the members of /r/theredpill I've discussed it with think it's either literally true, or they think it's wrong and shouldn't be in the sidebar. /u/redpillschool says that they've "discussed it to death" and made it clear it wasn't supposed to be taken literally, but then he refused point blank to show me where. "Take the Red Pill" This means discover a profound truth most people are unaware of. It means, "you haven't been living in the real world; come with us. We'll show you the truth." Unless you would like to define yourselves with a less dramatic metaphor, then yes: red pill beliefs/ beliefs that the majority of westerners agree with must be mutually exclusive.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/13 12:07 AM

I think this is actually most of it. The problem is, if one of the redpillers chimes in and says something like, "I did this with a girl and she stopped talking to me because she thought I wasn't interested, so take it with a grain of salt," he's immediately called names, dismissed as a concern troll, and banned. This reinforces the impression outsiders get that redpill thought is black and white.

I think this is going to be tough to answer until TRP defines exactly what it is and what is not. Until both redpillers and non-redpillers agree on that distinction, the whole debate will consist of equivocation: RP: "The main TRP idea is that men and women are different." BP: "That's not a redpill idea. The vast majority of mainstream westerners already believe that." RP: "No they don't! Everyone who's not a redpiller thinks men and women are identical!" (This is an actual debate I had. The red…
