Oldredder, it was an obvious joke that I got right away. You're overreacting. CaptainGloom, stop trolling Oldredder.

Yea, the chin was weird. What causes that? Surgery/hormones? I don't recall guys have chins sharper than women lol.

After a little bit of reading on the topic, I agree with you. It's a delusion that's considered socially acceptable.

Homogamy? I've rarely if ever seen an equally accomplished/status couple. It has never been my personal experience either - I've always been more educated, more athletic, more physically attractive and better tempered than any ex.

I'd like to redefine MGTOW to stand for "males going their own way". Trans men have issues and problems unique to male men. The two are not synonymous with each other. A trans man is a female. If you don't want to have relationships with other females I suggest you develop your own analysis and philosophies as to why that is because the MGTOW phenomenon does not apply to your case - hypergamy, Briffault's law, male disposability.

GTOW is not synonymous with "One Man Wolfpack" This is a great quote and a great reminder that I often forget to my detriment. Perhaps its the lack of human connections that comes with rejecting social expectations that leads some of us to feel purposeless and unfulfilled. Thank you for your insight.

I wonder if intelligent, thinking people can truly be happy. I feel like we're kindred spirits on this topic. Most intelligent people can be happy, but not those that engage in self-reflection. Ignorance really is bliss. To some extent I envy them.

I've to agree here. Men are no more moral than women. It's all about what we can get away with. "Opportunity makes a thief." If we lived in a society that allowed polygamy, men that had the inclination for it and were capable of it would without guilt or remorse. I believe the majority of human societies practiced some form of polygamy.

Brilliant post! Here's a link to Schopenhauer's essay "Of Women." https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Of_Women This is my favourite paragraph: "Hence, it will be found that the fundamental fault of the female character is that it has no sense of justice. This is mainly due to the fact, already mentioned, that women are defective in the powers of reasoning and deliberation; but it is also traceable to the position which Nature has assigned to them as the weaker sex. They are dependent, not upon streng…

those type of friends never want to do things outside that class/interest. It's odd to compartmentalize life to that point. I dont know if that's a Vancouver thing.

I spend quite a bit of time reading and watching mgtow content. I put a lot of focus on a building career and I regret it. I don't need much money and whatever extra I make goes to supporting women and children I don't care for. Through taxes and frivolous spendings I mean. Thank god I've never been married or have kids! Greatest blessing in my life.

People as seasons is an awesome metaphor! The more I've come to understand people and society, the less desire I've for friends anyway. As well as less social shame I feel. It bother me during special occasions and some weekends, but not having real friends doesn't matter that much to me any more.

I'm not able to digest everything you written, but what you say about friendship centred around activities makes a lot of sense. These type of friendships are one-dimensional though and never move beyond their original context. I'd rather not put effort into them.

I went through an introspective period during a breakup 3 years ago where I realized I don't have any close friends and was using gfs and the friends of my ex-gfs to fill that void. Since then I've been trying to make new friends and I've a few now but none I'd consider true friends. You know, friends that want to hang out with you even when it's not convenient for them. Another weird thing is no friend I've since made has invited me out to hangout with their friends. It's always like a couple t…
