This was introduced by Republicans. It honestly sounds to me like they are using it as a step towards getting human rights for fetuses. The wording "unborn child support" sounds deliberate to me. The only reason a fetus would need financial support is for the mother to pay medical bills so why wouldn't they call it prenatal care support? Most of the people introducing the bill are men (republicans). I have a feeling they are just using this as a step towards getting human rights for fetuses. This happened to my husband. Woman was already a month pregnant when she hooked up with him then came back one day and told him she was pregnant with his child. Making men feel insecure about their genitals isn't really funny. I've got a pretty sick sense of humor, but there's a time and a place for that. Not everyone has the same sense of humor, and this would really hurt someone who already feels shitty about themselves. Remember that men have a high suicide rate. These "pros" have actually been debunked. UTIs are much more common in girls and women than boys and men, and we give antibiotics for that. We don't amputate parts of their genitals. I had a friend growing up who lived with her father and only saw her mom every other weekend. I always assumed it was a mutual agreement between the parents since he worked from home and wouldn't have to worry about a baby sitter. He did make very good money though. Her mom didn't seem upset by it so I'm guessing she didn't fight it. I feel like if it went to court she would have been given the custody since that's just what I've always seen. Or at least 50/50
