Yes it is a country where you can actually have a good balance between work and personal life (if you are single there is a ton of stuff to do and you have some money to spend), plus if I were to move to Spain or Italy, I would just move back to Portugal (I would be home and we have a similar culture)

Like night and day... Northern European countries are known for their culture of introversion and isolation, and if you at least didn't study here, there is a good chance that you might never form your own social circle. And of course talking to strangers is a big "sin"... In fact, this absurd level of isolation and introversion is what motivated me to leave the country and move to the Netherlands - it feels a much more "normal" country in this sense

As someone from a south European country if go to a café alone, for sure someone will strike conversation with you (maybe not the first or second time, but it will happen,) and suddenly you even have your little grout of people that you talk to, be it the hot chick that is alone, the elderly couple that goes there everyday or just the guy that is watching football all afternoon... But then I moved to Northern Europe (Sweden), and suddenly there are no decent cafés, and if you even dare to strike…
