These shallow men and women will never date you so don't go for them. There are a lot of non-shallow people and nobody cares about it. People are allowed to have standards no matter how stupid. 1	Homophobia and Misogyny although linked aren't the same and people who say that think we aren't men. It's really that if you go outside of your gender role than you get hated on. Butch women and femme men don't fulfill that role and thus have been hated for it. When people say ancient civilizations were "gay" what they mean is that they didn't have the gay straight dichotomy.
