I read that holding frame was about being the best possible version of myself, and it's really what i'm trying to stick to. If anything, my "default" state was to be overly serious already. I'm lightening things up, constantly teasing and making corny dirty jokes, being flirty and more talkative than my (admittedly introverted) nature. Granted I make as many mistakes as the next person, but so far, so good. To be fair, she's been sick this week. Still waiting on sexual round two, but not GAF'ing…

Giving it a shot - trying to attribute everything to the PTSD/Grief side and less of the other. She changed psychiatrists and they've adjusted her meds. Managing her meltdowns (and stoppng them in stride) while passing her shit tests seem to be having a positive effect. So far, no major meltdowns since last month's puke. It's likely a combination of things. I'm a cautiously optimistic person by nature, so we'll see how things pan out.

To me, the point isn't that she's in contact with the Ex. The point is that she lied to you about it. I'm a newbie and my opinion isn't worth the used toilet paper I wrote it on, but lying should be the real crossed boundary here. Did she delete the texts in between the "hey" and the "yes"? If so, she's being shady about it and covering something up - even if it's just that she's in contact with him - and that crosses the lying line.

Shit-eating grin implied in my response. :)

Well documented issue in our hometown. Father admits the issues. Father's girlfriends admit the cheating. Police records corroborate that he hit her (and that she tried to set his baseball cards on fire). I also have access to public records and police records as a job function, though we won't get into specifics of who I work for. Fact of the matter is that I verified everything before I entered into a relationship with her. Her PTSD is legit. He managed to get out of it with "accidental suffoc…

I see what you did there... Fortunately she's about as tech-savvy as a well-educated moose, and I'm in IT Security. :)

For the record, none of those downvotes are from me. I think there's a BP lurker. :p

BPD, ADHD, and OCD have all been diagnosed. Some of the medications contradict others, so it's always been a disaster. Grief is definitely the largest contributor though. I would love to be able to right the ship, alpha up, and solve all the problems redpill style, but I don't know if it's the right tactic here either. I grew up with a PTSD father, but I'm not equipped with any working strategies since he handled it by never being home. MRP is pretty much my last ditch effort.

It's the age old dichotomy of what is right vs. what is easy. I know everyone is right, on a logical level. Staying is easy. Leaving is right. I'd love to make the excuse to say that it isn't that simple...I'm just trying to do the best I can for my daughters, and I'm terrified that any kind of split custody will make matters even worse. But that's probably an excuse.

This is absolutely accurate for my life up to this point. I seek out women who have issues and somehow subconsciously decide to fix them. The difference now is that I had children with her. She's a great mother when she's not on a rage or drinking binge - but my BB tendencies are validating her behavior and showing her that I'm accepting it. I'm not professing to have unplugged or taken the pill or anything else, I'm having trouble getting the damn thing out of the blister pack. I honestly belie…

The custody concern is a huge huge issue, particularly in the South. Beyond that, I'm not completely heartless or unvested in this, so I do want to try to right the ship, if it's at all possible. It may be like trying to prevent the Titanic fiasco barehanded, but at least I'll go down knowing I did all I could.

I don't have good answers for you. This is the second marriage for both of us - in both of our cases, from unfaithful spouses. I know that the potential is there. When she's not on a massive low, she's a great mother. She's had a lot of health and mental issues over the past few years and I'd feel like I was just walking away from the hard times if I burn it down right now. MRP is a path to a better life for me and my daughters, with or without my wife -but I'm trying to put in the last ditch ef…

I'm even newer around here, so I shouldn't be saying anything at all...but I'm about 99% sure STFU applied to your interaction with your wife. That's the advice they're giving you. You seem to be offended that they are telling you that in the sub - well, they're the experts. We can't come to them for advice and then throw it back in their faces and say it's wrong. Now I need to shut up and finish some books.

Judging solely by 36 hours of absorption of the sidebars of TRP and MRP....this post is awesome. Also alpha as fuck. Well played.

Thanks to both of you. Absorbing now.
