True. Looking at it, my summary is biased towards my female friend. I'm closer than her than I am the guy, but he did what was right for him and he never promised long term commitment to any of the older girlfriends he had.

I think it's good to feel grateful for your relationship or to think it's lucky that you met. Usually when someone says "he's lucky to have her," it means they think she's too good for him. So if someone says "he's lucky to have me" it sounds like they are potentially conceited to me. On the other hand, confidence is attractive...

I don't know about his past experience, but he started dating his fiancee over a decade ago when he was 20. He is platonic friends with some attractive girls, I think.
