That's a worthwhile question as a rule. That said, it's important to remember that, in cases like rape accusations, we all rightly decry the "trial by media" that happens before high-profile trials like this. We weren't on the jury, and all we have to go on is what pops up on overly sensationalized news stories. "Innocent until proven guilty" holds for all cases, not just ones where we agree with the outcome.

Sure, I'm not gay. I'm not divorced either - doesn't mean I don't care about fathers' rights. Everything you listed can be a gay rights or a men's rights issue, which makes sense - you're drawn to the larger cause by the issues that affect you the closest. I think I caught the leading edge of the diagnosis upswing (I'm 23 now). I do remember a few people being diagnosed with ADHD in elementary school. They were all boys, but in fairness they were also all probably legitimate diagnoses - the guys did have severe difficulty focusing on complex tasks. I don't think any of them were diagnosed just "for being kids."

The Burqa is generally more popular with converts, I'm not sure what the reason for this is It's one of the more conservative dress forms for Muslim women. I'm reminded of how male rape (particularly in prison) is such a common and accepted target for humor. I'd guess a male in prison has far greater odds of violent sexual assault than a free woman, but no one bats an eye at joking about prison rape. If it was a joke about a woman getting raped, there'd be hell to pay.

A lot of serious women offenders have mental health issues and problems with drugs and alcohol abuse because no male prisoners have those problems? I'd imagine it's every bit as common among male inmates, but I suppose they aren't worth reforming...
