Pick out words in sentence, talk about them briefly. Manage to make a joke. Address their question. Also what Thaeds said, after 5 or so messages I go in for the close, and meet in person. Usually, "You seem cool and fun, we should meet for coffee/tea/lunch/drinks." Then if they say yes, ask for a number, or you could say that you forgot to get it. Usually I actually do forget to.

It's weird but when I get laid it is either by pure chance or an overwhelming sense of confidence surrounds me. When that happens I know I'm going to get laid. Now only if I could control it.
