Well it sounds like we agree in a lot of ways! I agree that in crisis women are treated differently than men as well as legally, with jail sentences and custody. As you acknowledged that’s symptomatic of the patriarchy where women are nurturing mothers and men are strong defenders and earners, which isn’t fair. I disagree with your point about the work force, as an example women actually make better doctors then men statistically speaking ( https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2016/12/19/…

I don’t understand your point. Obviously I disagree, but is feminism not still about getting equality? What feminist beliefs now, are women just trying to get more power?

No, the difference is that people watching a stand up comic choose and usually pay to do so. Often (Not always) PUAs approach women when they aren’t expecting it. But I can see where they can be similar in appropriate settings

What your describing doesn’t sound like a health/happy relationship. I can see being a stay at home mom one day but that should be a mutual choice that me and my SO discuss. It’s not a business deal. Also you are NEVER obliged to have sex with someone whether they’re proving for you or not. That goes for both women and men obviously.

I don’t know for sure but probably no. I’ve tried to look past it with a guy I dated and he wasn’t even super into it all. It’s hard because at it’s core it seems to spite women. They aren’t real people, and any complex interesting woman you find is an outlier. Honestly it isn’t just a red flag it kind of scares me. That may seem dramatic but with my past experiences those groups really freak me out.

Also just to add, I’ve dated three guys in the past couple years and none have played sports and none were taller than 5’8. I don’t think all women act the same, there are a lot of us (if not the majority) who don’t just need looks.

I don’t think you need to be a chad to get girls! I (17F) would say I’m pretty attractive and one of the last guys I dated was not cute, with a weird thin mustache, a dad bod, and he was maybe two inches taller than me when we dated(I’m 5’3). Honestly, for a lot of girls they might not be immediately attracted to you but if you are kind (and I mean genuinely nice, not just for the sake of sex) and funny you’ll find your person.

I don’t disagree. As a girl who’s been on dating apps I’ve realized girls often have less trouble because there are less of us. This may just be my experience, and I’m not at all saying it’s a good thing.

THIS IS WHAT FEMINISM IS MENT TO BE!! The points brought up by OP are real and valid issues that need to be addressed. So many of them have to do with the way our society is structured, men=strong, emotionless, angry and women=kind, nurturing, fragile. These are symptomatic of a patriarchal society where women are soft and need to be protected by strong men. I totally agree with the points made by OP and hopefully we can really address these issues as a society because it doesn’t just affect women i…

No it isn’t. Not everyone needs romantic relationships. There’s actually a lot of people who have and still do live fulfilling lives without them. Just because you don’t want that doesn’t mean OP doesn’t.

Of course! (Almost) everyone gets nervous approaching people. Seeing how some of my guy friends talk about girls I sometimes worry I’ll be treated the same. More specifically the image of him and his friends scrutinizing my Instagram, ect. which I’ve seen my friends do and I’ve discouraged. Stuff like that is what I personally get nervous about but across both genders I think you’ll find many people feel similar anxiety to that of men.

OP never said she’d be okay being lonely. She said she didn’t need a partner. She doesn’t seem like she is lonely, in fact she sites multiple fulfilling relationships as part of the reason she doesn’t need a partner.

Most women I interact with including myself are actually put off by “simps”. It often makes the person feel creepy or disingenuous.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
