So... women = cars. OK then...

You're missing the point. They shouldn't be checking me out. Period. Do you really decide who to talk to based on their body? I could understand looking at the person's shirt and going "Oh! You like The Toasters? Ever see 'em live?" ..but then that's just geeking out about music.

Hmm perhaps you're right. I should carry something capable of emitting a powerful electromagnetic pulse, in case I encounter any perverts with cameras. And they're not flattering. At all. Being called "baby"? Not flattering--I'm a grown woman. Being called "girl"? Again...grown woman. I don't see how it can be argued that being looked at as an object is flattering. I should be flattered that you look at me the way you look at an ice cream cone?

I said nothing about the female way being right. I said that the way men treat women is different than the way they treat other men or even the way we treat men (so "but they like people of that gender!" doesn't even come into play here).

Well I tend not to go to the restroom with other women at all ;) But when I do, I just continue whatever the previous conversation was. I don't really talk about men's appearances umm...just about ever. Don't think about it much either.

I find neither men nor women sexually attractive. I wouldn't know if I found a person romantically attractive until at least a conversation or two...or three...or a month's worth. I am attractive enough that I have wished to be uglier so that men would stop catcalling to me every day as I walk down the street. Shall I buy a burqa? I don't wear makeup. I don't go tanning. I don't wear tight clothes (either loose or properly fitting). Though sometimes I dress so scandalously as to have a skirt tha…

When I go to the rest room with another woman it's because I don't want to put my backpack on the nasty floor. Take turns "here, hold this for me." Why don't all restroom stalls have the little hook for your bag? Ugh. So you're saying that when other women go to the rest room, they're talking about guys? How dull...much more interesting things to talk about! Like that new kernel exploit...or books...or recipes...or music...or having a little argument over yum v. apt.

Most men see other men as people, not sex objects. Most women see men as people, not sex objects. Most women see other women as people, not sex objects. There's only one combination that doesn't match, and that's the one feminists would like to change.

A woman who passes me on the street IS an object to me, at least if she's attractive. If she isn't attractive, she's a nothing, a ghost. This is the currency they deal in and they resent the fact that other, prettier women are selling lower than they are. I'd rather be the nothing than the object. Being ogled makes me feel about 10x worse than being ignored. Given the number of women I know who intentionally wear clothes that don't fit (as in the clothes are big and shapeless to hide their curve…

Besides that breasts are for feeding babies...and that's about it. They're not really sexual. I mean...some guys who haven't gotten over their obsession with their infantile food source seem to think they are, but...
