Sorry, but taking the law into your own hands like that makes you little better than any other common criminal. If you cannot see or understand that, you're part of the problem in society. We only have democracy and stability in the west because everyone accepts that we have laws, we have police to enforce the laws and we have a judicial system to hand out punishments. As someone from Canada who reads news stories weekly about criminals with rap sheets a mile long that get released early and the…

There was one on Global News or CTV or the like. Canadian media. Edit: it was CBC: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/swarming-homicide-toronto-teen-girls-witness-1.6693414 Also, please explain how this is dehumanizing?

If you were truly going your own way you wouldn't care if women were there or not. It is not comparable to religious adherence at all.

If a friend invites me to a party or get-together event at his home or anywhere else to watch TV, play games or whatever, I at first ask if there would be any female there. If he says yes, I politely tell him I ain't coming. I don't even care anymore if the female/s are angry, controlling feminists or angels. Doesn't matter. I'm simply not going if there's even a 0.02 percent chance that a female would be present. For a man that has "gone his own way" you allow women to control an awful lot of y…

Ever heard of the crazy cat lady? It's the same thing but for women.

The absolute stupidest thing about this is that it's the same people who advocate to make guns illegal because "women are victims more often"

This is not unique to MRA/feminism related issues. People in general are becoming more divided and less tolerant of anything that challenges their world view. IMHO there is a great global political turmoil brewing, don't know if it'll end up as another world war but whatever it is it ain't gonna be pretty.

As someone currently dealing with the court system in Canada (nothing to do with this though, still in criminal court but not criminal proceedings), I feel for you man. I've watched enough court proceedings over the past year to understand how stupid it gets procedurally, nevermind going through all the shit you've been through.

By that logic there's nothing wrong with calling a man a virgin, or a pussy for that matter, because there's nothing inherently wrong with virgins or pussy.

Well, considering that the highest law in the land legalizes discrimination (in general, not just gender-based), it's not surprising. Trudeau Sr really fucked up when he made the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and not only on this.

This is something that one of the Canadian CPC leadership candidates (who also happens to be the only woman candidate) wants to make illegal and the media is twisting it as her wanting to make abortion illegal.

I wouldn't feel great about it but if it were an issue of liabilities (which is what it sounds like this guy is referring to) I'd understand I guess. A lot of dumb shit happens because of how liability works in western (North American?) society, fix this issues surrounding that and a lot of other problems would clear themselves up.

The dude had a negative experience with a minority and wants to avoid another negative experience in the future, so you blame him? I had a few negative experiences with wasps growing up, does it make me a bad person for wanting to avoid them now?

Ok, then you know. I didn't say it was terrible or even necessary to go down like this, but that jackass and his buddies had to be removed from the PCs. I wouldn't even be mad if all the leaders and thier buddies all got caught up in any sort of scandals and forced to resign. We need a major reset on all major political parties in the this province. I'd almost compare to it the guys that died fighting the Nazis but that'd be a deservice to them because they were actually brave and honourable (fo…

I'm gonna act like you're not actually familiar with Canadian politics and inform you that the federal Liberals and Ontario Liberals are two different parties, and although I'm not a fan of Trudeau the federal liberal party is very far from the corrupt state that Premier Wynne and the Ontario Liberals are currently at. I'd take the federal Liberals and Trudeau for a decade if it meant shutting out those (Ontario Liberals) corrupt bastards out of provincal politics until the end of time.

I didn't miss the point, I was trying to give a brief summary. Because of the current political climate this situation is much more than just an MRA issue.

I know it sounds terrible, but you have no idea how fucked our politics are in Ontario right now, I'm pretty certain it rivals the Americans. I'm pretty sure someone could murder our premier in broad daylight and most people would be happy. Edit for clarity: Ontario premier, not Canadian prime minister. Apparently at least one individual doesn't know that the leader of the Canadian government isn't called a "premier"

I know it sounds bad. Personally, I wasn't going to vote for either of the two main parties and this isn't changing my mind.

Basically, the moron leading what is widely believed to be the only (though still not well liked) political party capable of dethroning the current corrupt Ontario government was accused of sexual assault via two anonymous sources in a newspaper article. And then within the span of like 18 hours he and basically all of his top staffers resigned. So feminists are pushing the usual line of "believe the victim", some people are "he shouldn't have resigned, he's innocent until proven guilty", and I …

I'm actually surprised it wasn't a lot more heavy handed on account for that because there's a real hard-on for punishing distracted driving right now.

Yeah, it's pretty sad. I did beavers though to one year of venturers (which encompassed almost the entire time I was in grade and highschool) and when I tried to be a leader a couple of years the program seems to be completely different. Not sure I'd ever send my kids to Scouts Canada programs now.

also that they committed fraud by getting me to have sex with them under false pretenses of consent. Man, if I had a shitload of money to blow on lawyers and wasn't happily married.... It'd make an interesting court case at least.

Part of the reason for this isn't the fact that men can or can't do it, it's the fact that anybody trying to protect these women would be called bigots and racists, which is a whole problem in itself. Not disagreeing with the sentiment, but feminism isn't 100% the issue here either.

That article makes no sense from a gender perspective. All I got out of it is someone who was good at math and thought they'd enjoy engineering because of that, but turned out not too. It's probably better that we don't get people in engineering simply because they are good at math. I've met some people who are pretty damn good at math and real dumbasses when it comes to engineering.
