You’re obviously trying to convince yourself that this so called “alpha” is the only man you’ll ever love and posting over and over and over again in multiple subreddits for validation. If you really wanted to solve this issue you would be taking steps to get over him, not posting on the internet whining about how all men are trash compared to him. How about treating men like human beings instead of just the value they can provide you?

Jolyn Clothing is an awesome athletic swim brand! They are made to stay put during movement (flip-turns, etc) and come in a ton of different cuts and prints!

Ironically you are citing mostly MENSA links I provided two links, one of which is hosted on Mensa Switzerland. The study itself, however, is not funded nor related to mensa in any way, but rather published in American Psychologist, which is a renowned and well-cited journal. It doesn't seem like you've taken to time to even skim and consider what I've put forward. You yourself just mentioned mensans are more likely to need validation, and be possible neurotics. I didn't say that mensans need va…

First of all, let's make this clear: IQ is positively correlated with income, job performance, test scores, etc. That much is apparent. There is a positive correlation between IQ and juvenile criminality, which doesn't seem to translate to adulthood. Can we agreed on that, at least? As for your studies you linked, they are questionable at best.... For the first study, mensans were used as an experimental group, not high IQ people in general. There are dozens of reasons that mensans may have high…

Thanks for the links, I'll look through them carefully. From what I understand, different IQ tests have different types of logical tests-- some are strictly pattern matching (ie Raven's Matrices) and others call on the test-ee's pre-existing knowledge of, say, the English language (unscrambling letters to make a word, for example). Do you know if the IQ difference is so pronounced in pattern matching tests with no language element than those that rely on pre-existing knowledge?

I don't understand why you are downplaying IQ as some nebulous thing. IQ measures the general ability to problem solve, which isn't trivial, in my honest opinion. In fact, it is the number one indicator of lifetime [success.] (https://www.gwern.net/docs/iq/2007-strenze.pdf) People act like it is relevant because it absolutely is relevant to finding a mate that can not only provide, but also serve as a stimulating life partner. Just because it may not be true for you does not mean that the strugg…

Can you elaborate on these hormonal cycles men have? I’ve never heard about that and I’m genuinely curious:

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
