Right, but they were evidence against him presented by opposing council in a civil suit, so had they been obtained without his consent it would not have been admitted. I'm talking about presenting a recording as part of a defense in a criminal trial. Even in places with an all party consent law on recording, you'll probably rather face that charge than a rape or assault charge.

I may be wrong, but this law exists to protect you from incriminating evidence that was illegally obtained from being presented against you in a trial. As far as I know, if you are on trial and have a recording that exculpates you it is irrelevant if the other party consented to be recorded or not, they are not on trial. I have, from watching Top Model, had respect for her for a while, I regret that I live a place without access to it, a lot of the episodes I would have watched if I could. That's always been my view. Work needed to be done and it was divided between people and men and women conformed to gender roles that decided who did what. While it's absolutely true that the overwhelming majority of rapists are men and the overwhelming majority of rape victims are women That is a statistic that is impossible to verify. Rape is one the most unreported crimes. Yes, I agree that all of those are very important issues. I was lucky enough to be born in a country where circumcision was not the norm, but I'm enraged when hearing stories of those, like the newborn that recently bled to death as a result, who have been harmed by it, but all those issues are ones that I have at one time or another been angry or incredulous about that need to have awareness about them raised so that they may be examined by the society that blindly accepts them.
