Yeah there are a lot of comments extolling as virtues total self interest to the exclusion of all others, and no further consideration is tolerable, unless you're a bb. Yes. There is a reason that businesses require good / contemporaneous documentation practices. Auditing happens. Document everything. In some states taping phone calls without knowledge / consent is a no-no. In some states only one party needs to know, which can be you. Find out what the rule is in your state.
