True, the first five steps are internally directed. But dread can clearly be a side-effect of self improvement. Implied and credible is in the eye of the beholder.

Passive dread is still dread.

You can do it and still keep the things that matter to you. The thing that mattered most to me when my boys were young was being the man that actually raised them. At six weeks in, you don't really know yet what you've kept and lost. I'm writing this as a way to show people that if you feel trapped, you're not. It's great that you're happy and relieved. Just be prepared for the first time you hear your kids refer to the new guy as Dad.

I like it. Thanks for your feedback. Just made plans for an oly class tonight, she's going to have that discussion with herself.

She knows I'm supportive. I've been supportive to a beta extreme. I gave everything short shrift in this post, it's the digest version. I think you're right about the actus non verba - that's my plan as of now. Thanks for your help.

That's where I'm at. I won't have an argument or a negotiation, but stating an expectation seems like a time saver if nothing else.

Thanks for the pep talk - my backbone feels pretty solid right now.

Spot on man, totally right. It's so weird to watch this play out in real time. My beautiful, brilliant, accomplished, sophisticated wife is acting exactly like every other woman - just as I've acted exactly like every other blue pill d-bag. Thanks.

That is awesome, I'll reread this afternoon. By the way, I can't even tell you how inspiring your "resurrected bedroom" post was - thank you so much for contributing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
