False. Forty. Single. Been single since I was 20. Happy with that.

I am an overweight white guy. My status change when I visit my father, who expatriated to the Amazon is astounding. My skin means I must be of a higer class (Brazil is as racially stratified as any place I have been). My stomach means I am wealthy.

That does not account for conversion. Plenty of traditional folks have less traditional children. A lot of times it is the norm.

No, it was a massive pogrom. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kristallnacht edit: and I upvoted you for asking, not assuming

It is a slightly smaller version of my favorite pejorative, the hamplanet.

Isn't that the woman who was misidentified? Yep, even says so in the linked thread. Am I missing something?

Nawww... big ol' lefty here. The belief is that a transgender person is the gender they say they are but that is split off from the roles. i.e. No reason a transwoman could not also be a construction worker.

IOI is not in the glossary, what is that?

What is an II? It is not in the glossary.

You should start a web site where you film that!

Its true, I remember a friend saving all of his sick time and vacation for the birth of his child... 17 days is not enough, particularly if it was a taxing birth and he needs to take care of the mother.

I think both Paternity and Maternity leave should regulated and equal. I have no problem with a mother getting 6 months off after a birth, or whatever, but the father getting nothing is just ridiculous.

I think it is worth noting that the MMPI was originally based on the responses of white Lutheran farmers from Minnesota quite some time ago. Nothing wrong with with being white, Lutheran, farming, or from Minnesota... but the MMPI's norms are very specific. It has been revised several times since, but I have little faith in it.

I love this sub reddit. I can't figure it out. It makes me think. Sometimes we get idiots posting hate, but somehow the subreddit avoids being transphobic (which to be clear is awesome, a transman is a man as far as I am concerned). Plus, I do love reading drama.

I agree, there should be one fitness standard, just like when I hire a maintenance worker, I care that they can lift 50 pounds, not their gender. Ironically I would get sued if I discriminated like the military. I think people should be allowed to use the restrooms of the gender they identify as, period. I do not think transgenderism is a mental disorder (I think it is physical), but that is not what you are saying. Your description of current military policy is apt. I also understand that chang…

Really? Slutwalks are poking fun at folks for calling women sluts, people like Rush Limbaugh.

I don't think we have a disagreement here. Unless you are saying all bathrooms should be unisex... which I think would actually be OK.

To answer your edit, some folks here are thoughtful and dedicated. Some folks are angry and hate filled. It sucks some times.

Why? What task can a ciswoman or man do that a transman or woman could not? Shoot a gun? File paperwork? Die for their country? I just don't see it, but even leaving the military to the side, I don't think we disagree necessarily. I think transfolk should have the same rights as if that was their birth gender.

I meant, for example, not getting in trouble for using the restroom, being able to get married, join the military. That sort of thing.

Just so you know, you don't make me sick in the slightest and I think you should have the whole raft of civil rights accorded to your real as opposed to assigned gender :)

It is tough to communicate tone in text. I am telling you that using words like slut weaken your argument in case you are actually trying to convince people.

That shit convinces no one. Being passive aggressive convinces no one. Do you want change or just to vent?

When you use the word slut, it weakens your argument.
