That sounds about right. Seems like some of these communities are only interested in echo chambers, and pushing their narrative. I was booted from the BLM subreddit for being a part of "a conspiracy-related subreddit." I'm a big fan of listening to contrarian and opposing points of view, so I have joined all kinds of subreddits to peek my head into their worlds. Apparently, that's some sort of insanity I'm missing.

I was just telling my partner about this the other day. Women are the perpetrators, IMO, of shaming when it comes to men crying/showing emotion. All the men in my life have always been supportive, or, at worst, just not known what to do because they have also locked up their feelings.

This. This right here, OP. If someone won't stop pestering you, and you've asked them to stop, then turn it back on them. Force them to look at their own lives. People hate that shit, and it will make them not want to pester you again. If they do, just keep putting the burden back on them. Eventually they'll get tired of looking at their own mistakes and problems and either gain perspective or stfu about things that aren't their goddamn business.

In the USA there is an insurance company which uses your actual driving style to determine your rate. It is called ROOT Insurance, and they claim that they do not insure "bad" drivers. It is pretty great if you're a good driver, and the rates are quite low. I'm not sure if they adjust for Sex, though. It's just nice to not be penalized (as much) for all the asshats on the road.
