I went to a wedding this past weekend, and the groom was far and away much less attractive, accomplished, etc. than the bride. The Bride was beautiful, attorney, etc. compared to the groom. I couldn't fathom it, until I heard the speeches and mannerisms. Anyways, my twin sister practically reading my mind, leans in and says it's actually become fairly common for women to date and then marry less attractive men. Not necessarily full BB status, but because they know they won't ever cheat and leave…

No I get that point. But again, I agree with the guy above about oversimplifying this. I tie some happiness with when my sports teams win or lose. I am part of a community of other fans. It's a bond I share with my old man who took me to ball games as a kid. However, a day later, its back to business as usual during the week. Having some sort of investment in a hobby is fine. I get what the OP is conveying: Get out in the world and don't be a couch potato beer gut loser. However, just because you love sports and have a few favorites teams doesn't equate to a beta lifestyle. It's a hobby, like hiking outdoors, fitness, reading, or any other hobby. After working hard all week (career and fitness), Sunday is usually my rest day. I don't know what kind of workouts you do, but mine are far from "healthy relaxation". Watching my NFL team and kicking back for the afternoon …
