Yes! It makes putting yourself out there a less daunting experience and opens yourself up to new opportunities. Everyone on this thread telling OP to keep his feelings to himself are expressing their own internal fear of rejection which will get them absolutely nowhere.

She wasn't the one for you and that's okay. Confessing your feelings, although incredibly scary at the moment, is a good thing. Best to know that she wasn't going to be all in with you now, then months or years down the line. Now that's a recipe for true heartbreak. I always try to remind myself that rejection is just redirection. It doesn't make you stupid. It makes you human. There are so many beautiful experiences and people out there waiting for you.
