3	Overcoming sexual anxiety as a virgin Own what you are. Don't treat being a virgin as a fault or a shortcoming. It's just a part of who you are. Be proud of that, and the girl will see it as a feature as opposed to a short-coming. I'm guessing that since you're not trying to have sex with a hooker you're not looking for just a pump box for the night. 1	Is it bad to go to college a virgin? I went to college with my virginity and left without it. I lost it to my first girlfriend during my first semester. It was awesome. I'm an analytic type of thinker and at that time (and even still but less so) was very socially inept when it came to meeting people and making first impressions and being true to myself.
