Another thing that scares me is that this gynocentrism might go on even if the safety net is removed. Single mothers will work even more, their kids will spend even more time without them (in daycares, etc.) and it can go indefinitely. Their living standard might not be as high, but the basic necessities like food and clothes are only getting more affordable with time, which would allow them to not require a man even for financial reasons, even without the social safety net.
