Correct, the person I responded said it shouldn't be a a choice (forced carry) but offered no alternatives except that it should be discussed. There really isn't much to discuss though because it's not fair (as you pointed out biologically) but the laws and most people in general don't see it that way. I know a lot of people who feel if it takes 2 to make it, they both should be completely liable regardless if one wants to terminate the pregnancy or not. So really, what can be done? = artificial…

But the legal system can fix one of the major imbalances here that I'm concerned about. It can make it so the guy has no responsibility/rights/payments for the child if he does not want it.

I learned that stating "non emergency" after calling 911 they will transfer you to the appropriate handler. I've had to do this a few times while delivering newspapers out in the middle of nowhere for various incidents I've seen.
