It's a sucky situation - it's hard to call people out on this stuff, because we don't know. Don't really know. And it's something most people don't want to be wrong about, because that's insensitive and offensive. But if someone held a gun to my head and forced me to answer, 100/100 times I'd say that person is full of shit.

I'm a dude, and I watched the shit out of the previous remake.

It's not a very good point, though. Yes, you want people to feel safe when reporting a crime. But that absolutely does/should not mean free passes for people to commit other crimes.

They screwed up. If they had won, all they did was beat a bunch of children. By losing, they lost to a bunch of children. And just by playing them at all makes it a little tougher to take them seriously (although soccer does all kinds of stuff I don't understand.) Whoever let this happen is an idiot.

Yep. The strength built on being able to cheerfully share an entire car ride without saying a single word.

Fine. "NY Times fails to recognize the offensive absurdity of this op-ed and publishes it." No matter what, A. the thought process behind the piece is horrifying, and B. by publishing it (at all, in any form,) the Times shows it has no integrity.

You don't have to say "I'm an adult" in every comment you ever post.

What happens when they add more groups to that list, there aren't enough white people left to cover the "exceeds" quota? Do mixed race people count as both? Or maybe race and sexuality count as two.

Makes me want to hang up pictures of random ass - but demographically representative - government officials. Be like, President, 3rd Asst Director of NOAA, Tammy from the IRS office in Des Moines.

Edit That's not sarcasm, that's you just saying something you didn't mean.

Yeah I'm worried about critical mass of idiocy.

While I don't agree that she deserves any kind of ridiculous punishment, I can understand why things like this upset people. It isn't that it's a big deal - because it's clearly not - but it's because it's such a small deal. It's so stupid that it's just hard to understand. Medium stupidity is the sweet spot.

If only there was a built in system on the human body to catch and he things. Then wash your hands.

Jesus, how fucking repulsive.

On one hand, she's daytime TV. But on the other hand, her whole "thing" is no nonsense. Could probably do a lot worse than Judge Judy.

"Humanise" doesn't literally mean make something into a human.

Wait... what current political time? The time when there are more feminists than ever? The time when they are more outspoken and active? That should get them *more" money.

I definitely expected a horse kicking her while she was messing with it in a stable, or something. That a horse running full speed during a race hit her has nothing at all to do with who she was or what gender.

Yes, that was the post we all read.

And come on, "effective?" Her job is to make people laugh. How is them not laughing considered effective? It's exactly the opposite.

Between "the left's" paid shills and "the right's" paid trolls, why the fuck am I not getting paid?

But she didn't really say anything about how they are treated - not in that context, anyway - just about how shitty she thinks they are. But it's fake, according to everyone else, so no matter.

Idk about that. I mean, these women had plenty of opportunities for early abortions but didn't take them.

Yeah, but they started passing these laws in response to the dumpster problem. I mean, in the past, it was always a better option - it's just the "no consequences" part that's new.

I realize what sub this is, but that isn't fair. Rape is very often not about getting laid - something I thought was pretty widely known.
/r/PussyPassDenied20/09/16 12:41 AM

There would be nothing wrong with it, except our society is slightly more complicated than birth/breed/die. There are serious repercussions that are more or less attached to sexual activity - pregnancy and STD transmission, most obviously. I wouldn't argue that all people that age aren't prepared for that, but many are not. Even if we had comprehensive sex education, there's still a point in everyone's lives before which it's really not that great of an idea to be having sex. Or maybe I'm wrong,…

I'm not guaranteeing that it happened, but a grand total of 49 or 50 words is, I don't think, a very good sample size for some kind of texting-analysis.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
