Same. My wife thinks I’m an asshole because I am serious and nagging all time time. Why? Because I am the only adult in the house and things would be out of control if I did not. She is a lush, vodka all around the house hider. And I just caught her on the phone at 4 am talking nasty nasty obscenities with some dude she was going to meet up with the next day. Next day, I came back from my jog and she was kissing said dude outside of my house. Also learned that she was fucking our Dogsitter for t…

Man, I’m debating the same thing. Dead beat wife. I’m in CA, married 12 years. My attorney basically said that I’m fucked.

What’s remarkable is that I have heard that the alcoholism could work to her advantage in the state of CA, she is more vulnerable, more in need, almost handicapped - will bode well for her in whatever settlement. Another wrinkle is that she comes from a family of attorneys, including a high power divorce attorney in NYC! Feeling paralyzed. What’s the move boys?

I’m thinking about the same thing. My wife is a fall down drunk, doesn’t work, disgusting. I’m in CA, married for 12 years, no fault state - and she could win half of my income…FOREVER. Son is 12 and have not left her yet because I did not want to possibly screw him up with a divorce. Her drinking has not been super bad for him and that she just asks like a clumsy juvenile and they treat each other as such.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
