My ex was alllll about feminism for the first year of our relationship. I took a lower paying job (for my sanity) and started trying to split things 50/50 and she started realizing how expensive it is to go on dates and get drinks. After about a month or two she decided we should stay in and not go out at all anymore unless I took her out lol don’t worry I called her out for it and she finally admitted her dad instilled in her to get a man to provide and she preferred to save her money. She made…

You know that this argument doesn’t help your point at all. It makes you look childish.

Amazon told AFP on Friday it had invested more than $160 billion in the United States since 2011, building an intricate distribution network as well as cloud computing infrastructure. "Amazon pays all the taxes we are required to pay in the US and every country where we operate, including paying $2.6 billion in corporate tax and reporting $3.4 billion in tax expense over the last three years," a spokesman said. "Corporate tax is based on profits, not revenues, and our profits remain modest given…

Can someone else chime in? Am I going insane? You literally want people to not go through our legal tax code and just pay an arbitrary number? I think you are trolling me 😂 You win

Dodge taxes? You mean use of whatever the tax code is? You think people should pay more taxes if they are capable of paying less? Lol And no financial advisors aren’t deciding to “dodge” taxes.

Lol CEO’s and financial advisors? You have no idea how the market works .... an advisor is more like a psychologist than they are what you are probably imagining. Bernie also uses the same loopholes btw. This is sort of cracking me up. You are a meme.

Bernie’s plan, yes it would. I work for a wealth management firm with clients with varying net worths and it would 100 percent affect hard working people that have stashed money for 30 years and now are retiring. Not only because of the transaction cost but because what I think it would do to the markets. I think you are either young or in a bubble. Possibly both.

You literally have no idea what you are talking about.

Okay. The average investor is someone who is middle class contributing to a qualified retirement plan or something like that. I’m not sure what McDonald’s workers have to do with this. I think you underestimate walls streets ability to get around things. How old are you?

Massive firms would find a way around it. It would probably end up hurting the average investor more than anything. I’m assuming you are talking about Bernie’s style of plan though. I’d prefer to get the money for education somewhere else if we were to move forward with “free” university.

Taxing trading is one of the dumbest things I think we could do. I agree we have a problem with education costs but I think we should approach it differently. Teach kids in high school how loans work, that they don’t have to jump directly to college, and trade schools are not stigmatized. Your solution puts a bandaid on it. I can’t believe we’ve reached the point that cancelling all student debt “isn’t anything”. Once again I’m not trying to be mean but please do some reading.

I’d recommend reading some posts over at economics or read a bit about what “cancelling” debt really looks like. I feel like you are just regurgitating things you’ve read on politics.
