I lived in Peru in 2009. When I started living in the country I didn't speak spanish that well (high school education level and it was 5 years later with no practice). Whenever I had a conversation with someone I would take a while to answer and try to find a way to understand what they said and how to express an answer. The funny thing is that when people approached me on the street to get me to their hotel I wouldn't answer right away and they would start lowering the prices by themselves whil…

A fitness shit test is used to determine your social skills/sense of humour eg: “you look hilarious when you’re crying.”

don't men have the same needs of security status and escape but more toward ourselves? we need to be secure about what we're doing were we're going and how we're going to achieve that we need to be respected by our peers we need from time to time to let go, have fun, stop taking everything so seriously and enjoy the thrill of risk

it's very real, it's a bunch of very fast voltage switches in a billion of transistors that you manipulate with your fingers following a pattern of timing and decision making. It's like playing a musical instrument except it's much much harder to do something that can be appreciated by the crowd (or 99.9% of girlfriends) since the basic concepts are more complex. There isn't any wonderwall or smoke on the water for videogames that anyone who doesn't play can appreciate, it's way harder to share …

you know deep inside that anything easy is harmful. A hard video game, especially one where you have to compete against other humans, and where you do what's necessary to improve is a good hobby (high skill ceiling, mind games, teamwork...) . It will not increase your SMV but you'll get confident from achieving anything hard. An easy video game where you finish a linear storyline in 10 hours and feels like an interactive movie is harmful, it's comfortable and more like a time filler. Most import…

What brought the two huge spikes (2014-01-04 : +1027 and 2014-06-30 : +1440)? I'm pretty sure it's a mention of TRP somewhere else on reddit but I wonder what specific thread.

From my personnal experience : If a LTR goes on for long enough you will have beta backslides and you will feel bad about it since you will be aware you fucked up (having read on game and knowing about TRP and consequences of being beta). This is the best way to self destruct your frame and why LTR is seen as hard mode. Girls don't consciously think about the way you fucked up as much as you do though, they really respect your will and commitment to self improvement and don't really notice the t…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
