I don’t even understand why some people get so angry over humor. If one person says something targeted to be funny to one audience, if you fire them you lose that audience and gain nothing. Plus, to say someone’s comedy is an fireable offense is to say you can’t take an opposing view. Also, LGBTQ has only spiked these past two or so decades because of how much they’ve been fighting for “representation” (something they already had enough of)

I personally haven't read the article (classic screen shot of a screen shot) but other people here have and are saying it was a joke but just outright hate. If it was a joke, shame on the employer for being overly sensitive pricks If it wasn't in any way/outright hate, the employer did their job of keeping the company a peaceful environment.

Both include discriminating against someone based on something they can't change. Both are used to make people believe the person is worth less Both are "just words". Now, the main difference is that one has been happening for centuries and the other has been happening for decades. So are they similar? Yes. Should one be taken more seriously then the other? Yes. Should people who endorse it be punished none the less? Yes.
