What I do is try to perceive their interests based on their pictures and posts, and start off with a question I know will tickle their senses. The majority of them will not fall for it, that is, not even reply, or reply in a rude maner, but some do reply nicely, really, it's a game of numbers, you can not expect to get a good reply every time, or even most of the time. I don't care much about IG or FB, I post like 2 pics a year. But the truth is that 90% of my pick ups are by direct messaging random girls. Some of them actually go along with my conversation and it ends on a date. For that I like FB and IG so much.
