Books on stoicism and do they really help? Before I found TRP I was a whiny kid. Then I became stoic because I had to. I had to learn how to be stoic because it would hurt other people if I said anything. For me and most people I've seen learn to be stoic, they have had to go monk mode to achieve it and actually learn. Shutting yourself out for awhile and learning and working out is just how I've seen most people learn how to become stoic. | /r/askTRP | 13/06/15 06:37 AM

Swallowed the pill two years ago. Lost the depression and the weight. Now I have my anxiety and social skills to work on. Where do I go from here?Well for your fear of speaking to people "correctly" I will say this. There is no specific way to talk to people besides your OWN. Part of the happy byproducts of TRP is having conversation starters because of how you have improved yourself. Now don't get me wrong there are shit tests galore out there but you worked hard on yourself so maintain your frame and talk to people. I was really timid and shy. I never talked to people unless they initiated the convo first and then it usually fell flat.(… | /r/TheRedPill | 04/05/15 05:41 AM
Where do you draw the balance between spinning plates and doing fun things, while also pushing yourself towards your goals?Yeah you should let it flow. Most of my best projects come from the anger and frustration and then getting and idea. I then like that idea so much I am happy with it and then work on it and perfect it. | /r/TheRedPill | 04/05/15 02:40 AM
Where do you draw the balance between spinning plates and doing fun things, while also pushing yourself towards your goals?Yeah I happen to get like that but then I just get fucking angry as hell. I used that sleepless anger to shove all of my studying down my throat and then get some sleep. I usually get up in the morning early when this happens and give it a good look over basically terms and then try to remember it with a study guide from the book and then get myself ready. Although it sucks to study late and then get up early you become happier because you got that A rather than a B or a C | /r/TheRedPill | 04/05/15 02:30 AM
Where do you draw the balance between spinning plates and doing fun things, while also pushing yourself towards your goals?Maybe take some time out if reddit. Today I had some studying to do but I put it off and went to watch a movie and then came home and did it. I know this is not ideal but I felt better after the movie and it was a great interesting movie(Age of Ultron). I came back with my mind cleared and got down to work. I studied today for at least 2 hours which would usually destroy me and make me want to watch TV but I felt great. I took a shower and practiced my guitar for a few hours and then came on her… | /r/TheRedPill | 04/05/15 02:20 AM
