Love or hate the military, they are some pragmatic motherfuckers.

I agree. This whole story is terrible.

I see your point. However, I still don't see how she could reasonably assume that the person she told about her rape would, as a result of this information, murder the rapist. Another thing, I don't mean to be a contrarian. From the incredibly limited information contained this short article, I think that in this case, some recourse should be available for the families. Which I stated in my previous post could be a civil lawsuit.

"Another witness verified that the rape lie was the assailant's motivation for the stabbing." Unless you can prove that she incited him to do it, I don't see her being charged criminally... Now civilly, that's another question. Via wikipedia: "the act of persuading, encouraging, instigating, pressuring, or threatening so as to cause another to commit a crime." From this article it only appears that she made the assailant aware of the situation. EDIT: added link to wiki article.

I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think that's how the law works. Unless she lied in court, I don't see any reason she should be in jail. she didn't kill the kid. Have an upvote for being a humanist though.

Its a cliche, but be yourself. Talk about what interests you. If they like you: GREAT! If they don't: don't worry about it and don't waste your time. It's not worth it in the end to act like someone you are not. When you find someone who has the same interests as you, the rewards are infinite. Good luck.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
