If this passess, the parliament will only take a big step backwards ignoring the bigger problem of its "general" conscription from which all women are exempt. Article on a web-only news source that is completely unheard of in Finland. The article has no journalist's name, only a reference to the "News Now Staff" and that staff has no names. There are still exemptions given for elite Finnish athletes, such as NHL players, who are allowed to put their playing careers ahead of their conscription obligations. No, they go to the Defence Forces' Urheilukoulu (Sports Academy) in Lahti that trains elite sportsmen that have to apply and be approved for the academy. They're trained for long range recon.
