I wasn’t at all. I was responding to another person who said it’s a mental illness but that wasn’t brought up in this case at all. She was evaluated and fit to stand her trial while blaming her boyfriend. That’s a planned out attack. She was not mentally incapacitated.

What does simp mean? I’m trying to not get her atrocious acts excused by being mental illness since there is already so much stigma surrounding mental illness these days. Nobody in this trial said it was mental illness. Pedophilia is already a stigma and should never ever fucking be grouped or excused as a reason. Excusing this behavior bc of mental illness does absolutely nothing but create more stigma. Okay.. I mean most people charged in a federal court for child porn get the same if not more. I think personally this should’ve been more bc she made the child porn and sent it out. The OP doesn’t seem to be from the states though. In my opinion, there is no rehabilitation for pedophiles in situations like this. This wasn’t a one time slip. This was several videos. I’m not sure how someone can be so awful. I still can’t figure out who this 6yo was in relation to her or why she had so much access…

The sentence was more harsh than usual child sexual assault bc she made and distributed child pornography so she was tried in the federal level and not by the state. Child porn in general is a huge no no but the fact she made and distributed the content makes the sentence much more series. But I’m interested to where you see they’re coming from
