Yeah I feel like there’s no way to bring that up that isn’t weird. Like are you saying if you start dating a guy you’ll ask him “if I had a baby and my body changed would you still like me?” Don’t do that… just date a guy who clearly likes you for more than your body lol.

Are you on any form of birth control? Let him deal with that if he doesn’t want kids. In my experience very few men are going to be all gung ho “oh boy let’s have sex now because you’re super fertile and I want a big financial expense,” does that make sense? It turns them off sexually, it stresses them out, etc. My hubby is a great dad and great at everything he does but not great at the “Let’s sit and talk timelines” crap. So just tell him you’re stopping your birth control and let him deal.

I would recommend therapy for both parties tbh.

So, I know a lot of people say talk to him let him know your expectations etc. In my experience men are different and don't care to talk about feelings. But they sure as hell step up when they need to. Key word, NEED to. He has no incentive to right now, ya know? I'm sure he's thinking "yeah I'll do that eventually... When I need to.. I have time." Like what if you just got pregnant now? Tell him you're stopping your birth control, condoms exist lol, and if you get pregnant he will have a reason…

For me personally, 6 months we started to adjust and she was becoming mobile so it was a bit easier. At months I really got into a good routine with housework and everything (she is 9 months now). I feel like it took a bit longer for me to get into the swing of things because we have no family locally and we practice attachment parenting. I started Zoloft around 7months which helped my PPA... Wish I had sooner!

I feel like people change as they age and value different things and then even more as they have kids. At least that was the case in my relationship. When I met him at 22 all we were thinking was "ooh hot" and now our bodies have changed a lot but we love each other. Still find each other hot.. and yes after having a kid doing my makeup is just a non-priority. I did gain weight and my body itself changed. I also just didn't feel like having sex for awhile because I just had a little one sucking …

I would be petty and do the same thing. "Here watch the kids for a sec, I need to use the bathroom," and just hang out for two hours. But more practically, make sure you're both getting alone time. Like time that isn't alone time at work, alone time to vacuum, just time to be alone and chill where you know you won't be interrupted. I know it's hard with little ones but even if you both just get half an hour or so.

Yup same, this is my first year as a mama and second as a homemaker. But while the holiday season is crazy, the holiday itself is when all my hard work has paid off and I can finally relax too!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
