I’m not in that sub but I see a lot of women post things like “How do I get my bf to do XYZ?” It’s like… either just fucking ask or just leave - don’t try to manipulate the situation because it’ll never work if he’s being coerced to do whatever you’re wanting (a ring, probably) anyway. Another issue where I’m at in the USA is that there are extra government assistance programs that won’t even assist men - only women or women and children. Men get treated like they’re second class citizens anymore

Exactly. I was a foster parent for a while, then I worked in contract with Dept. of Child Services. Women/teen moms are treated like the only party to the case unless dad harasses them to allow him custody of the child (which he has a legal right to if mom has lost custody & kids are placed jn foster care). Cannot tell you how much they dgaf about dads. Sometimes moms - esp young ones, move schools and don’t even tell their bf they’re pregnant. Sometimes a very short relationship ends and mom do…

I’m a SAHM of four kids. Full-time college student, previously homeschooled my kids but needed to make changes so I could do well in school & get into a PhD program. The payment for being a hardworking SAHM is the fact that your children are safe, bathed, fed, wearing clean clothes, have someone waiting for them when they get off the bus, someone to hold them when they’re sad and dance with them when they’re excited. Moms do the work so the kids get the payment; that’s the whole point in my eyes…
