The thing is that $300k was most likely the upfront fee paid during the signing of the contract and doesn't include royalties or the large bonuses she will receive during the life of the film. It's also most likely an upfront fee that is paid to an actor during the signing of the contract for their role. Depending on the contract, it doesn't consider what they will make in royalties/ revenue during the life of the film. That $14m most likely what Cavill has made all up for his role as Superman.

I think with the prevalence of video and especially phone footage now, men have more of a right to defend themselves against attacks like this. I find it disappointing that I have to keep telling people this is a myth and if people feel that they are being underpaid in western society, there are plenty of resources out their resolve that dispute with their employers. Specifically, in Australia you can contact Fair Work to find your pay rate and solve workplace issues. Anyways, most of the time people are being underpaid because they never initially negotiated their salary with their employer in the first place.

I'm against people who already don't meet the requirements to be in combat roles. I would want to know the person standing next to me is my equal and has gone through the same training and met the same standards that I have. Changing the prerequisites for one gender to get into a combat role will only make the rest of the peers view them as a liability and lesser of a person in that position.

I mean how is it any different from taking responsibility for your actions while under the influence when you drive drunk and hit another car or pedestrian? There is a lot more rape depicted in the books than what the tv series lets on. I know book readers were angry that what was portrayed in the books in that scene was different to how it was interpreted in the show. While I haven't served in the defence force before, the most common arguments I have heard is that men don't want other people joining combat positions if they cannot meet the standards that everyone has to go through for their roles. Setting different training standards because of a person's gender not only disadvantages squads in the battlefield but can also be detrimental in seriously life threatening situations. What a crock of shit. I wouldn't be surprised that this study was endorsed by the high end brand fashion industry to get more women to buy their products. The only thing it shows for a women to be wearing high end clothing is that either they are rich, work in a high paying job or their man is loaded. Pretty sure the barber is allowed to refuse service to a costumer without needing proper explanation. If this matter became somewhat of a gender issue he can always rely on the fact the that he is ill experienced in cutting women's hair and he was only trained to cut mens.
