Absolutely do not just keep going along with it, that is so dangerous for you. Think of how it will look when she finally realizes you won’t change your mind, goes sour on you, and has months of texts saying “I don’t want to have sex” but you’ve been having sex the whole time. Not worth a little casual sex, sounds like you have options, just bail.

This is a great answer. For the flip side, I have been extremely successful with women in my life, have looks/height/social intelligence/job in my favor, but I am tired of the constant bs and “effort” I am expected to expend for the privilege of competing with 10 other guys, the disappointment, the entitlement, the physical and emotional danger, the vilification if I’m no longer interested, the devastation if they aren’t. Even if you have attributes and “game” it just isn’t worth the ass ache an…

I had a relationship where I felt the pain women usually complain about, because she would finish before me and then basically shut completely down.

Right. Yet the examples of being nice always seems to be “I observe conventional manners and hygiene”. Men and women want to be treated well (nice) by people they are attracted to. The attraction has to be there independently of the niceness.

Can’t agree more with this. Also “nice” is a wildly subjective term that changes from person to person. It is generally probably more than just being polite though.

As someone who used to have high status and now doesn’t, this is spot on.

A frequently used vagina is wider/looser. Not necessarily permanently but it also doesn’t just snap back like 304s would have you believe. If my gf and I take a long break for travel/illness or whatever, she’s much tighter when we start up again.

I think men are just looking for some acknowledgment of this lived experience.

I’ve had multiple women ask me outright to buy them expensive items, just because I could afford it. Personally I can’t imagine asking another adult to buy things for me that weren’t offered.

What’s scarier is many don’t even possess the self awareness to acknowledge that’s their reasoning. They will say things like “we lost the spark” “I just lost attraction” “he had a lack of ambition” etc. that coincidentally line up with the point at which the man was no longer able to financially improve her life circumstances.
/r/MensRights06/05/25 09:15 PM

But it’s just so HARD getting items and experiences thrown at you for free, and being immediately socially valued based on your immutable characteristics!

After the war is over, it will be very interesting to see the state of feminism in Ukraine. Will there be any acknowledgment of the fact that being one gender rather than the other was a death sentence? Is there any “bodily autonomy” issue more severe than being sent to die against your will?

I can tell you from experience is what NOT to do, and that’s to continue dating like you are. I am so freaking jaded I don’t even know if it’s recoverable anymore. I always said I wanted a family, my friends and colleagues are all parents, and I am just here stuck in the same cycle and it is extremely unsatisfying. It turns out the skills and attributes you need to be “successful” at dating are basically the opposite of what you need to be successful in a relationship (if success to you means fa…

It’s not a hard cut off or anything, I mean people have kids into their 40s, but statistically it’s a lot more dangerous for women and their kids after 35. All I am saying is, if you want kids at 36, you two better have that discussion now, and in all likelihood it will be difficult to do naturally. And we were talking about dating someone new, not your existing relationship, which would add at least couple years before someone would typically be starting a family.
/r/seduction04/09/24 06:16 AM
1

Because you can only date so much younger than yourself before you get a ton of shit for it from your contemporaries, and/or you don’t have much in common if you’ve been progressing in your own life (not just what you talk about, but your actual lifestyles, assets, and energy levels), and despite what online people pretend, most women (unless their primary motivator is financial) only date seriously within a few years of their own age and aren’t open to big age gaps no matter how “young at heart…

I had the opposite experience, your mileage may vary. I think the more you play the field, the more jaded and emotionally exhausted you become, and the less able you are to pair bond with one person, even if you don’t realize it. By the time I started dating with intention, I found that my serious dating pool had shrunk significantly. I’m also quick to detach because at the first sign of any problems, my brain says I can always find someone better instead of working it out. Not to mention all th…

I used to think this, and it really depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to sleep with hot women for hedonistic fun and ego? Then being yourself may be terrible advice, depending on who “yourself” is. But if your goal is a healthy long term relationship, then I’ve found that you can alter your behavior and perception to be “successful” at talking strange girls into sleeping with you, especially by emulating “players”, but your romantic relationship will deteriorate as your true self is…

/r/seduction27/07/24 06:18 PM

No, if that’s really what you want for yourself (doesn’t sound like it is), you should focus on being a guy women want to have casual sex with. The “not being a good person” part is the trait that breaks being taken seriously, not the trait that makes women want to have sex with you.

What I am terrified of is that the woman can choose to leave and still take the kid and get spousal support. That makes sense in cases of abuse, cheating etc., but if it’s not for those reasons it seems crazy that I’d be obligated to pay forever for the lifestyle of someone who decided to break up with me, or worse cheated on me and then broke up with me.

I used to do very well but just got really jaded. Feels like my dates recently are overeager based on what I can provide them, and not that I don’t want to provide, but idk it just feels like everyone’s faking it and it’s not about me anymore. Hooking up with randos feels pointless and empty and gross now. I see the hot flashy girls that I used to date and all I can see is the batshit craziness that a relationship with them will bring, but I’m too shallow to be into anything else.

But virginity isn’t seen as a negative in women is my point
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/24 08:41 PM

I actually agree and find promiscuity in men to be pretty gross and lame also. But the double standard comes from both sides, because virginity/inexperience is often seen a negative for men by women.

To be fair, if I were trying to transition from dating women to dating men, MGK is a nice middle ground
/r/MensRights20/04/24 01:40 PM

I think what he was saying about the career thing is that the effort a man puts into a relationship is decreased as he puts in more effort into his career to try to build a life for the family, which the man is expected to do (vs. it’s a choice for most women). So I think men feel like if they devote their time and energy into building the life they want, but then they’re punished for not putting that effort into the relationship, even though the woman wants that life.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/24 09:46 PM

I don’t see it as bad faith so much as naive self delusion? They don’t have to go through it so they have no sympathy for those of us who do, it’s just how it’s supposed to be for them.

/r/MensRights16/04/24 02:31 PM

They often don’t know, and when a doctor delivering your child tells you that it’s better to do it, parents might just go along. In fact some hospitals used to (idk if this is still a thing) have it be “opt out” so that you have to specifically check a box saying don’t do it, otherwise they just do it by default.

Your instincts are correct. The men advocating for this will regret it. Here’s a question for you to think about: how do you simultaneously hold the views that (A) you, unlike other guys, would want her “on your arm” and for more than sex, and (B) that having sex with guys is giving them the “fullest extent of their company”? Like doesn’t the assertion that you want her for more than sex mean that having sex with someone isn’t the full extent of their company?

As a gender we really need to stop simping for sex. It’s caused an entire generation of men to become depressed sociopaths, and women who have sex as their only currency. It logically does. If a girl has meat curtains and doesn’t wash her folds, it’ll get gross. It’s the exact same premise, but it’s not done because their favorite book didn’t tell them to.

If you approach a woman like a creep and they are creeped out, that is not at all the woman’s fault. There are of course extremes, like I once had a coworker who refused to be alone in a room with a man, which whatever her reasons are, made her very hard to work with just logistically.

That was the line I kept hearing but it does become a big deal socially if not biologically. At a certain age, all your friends are off having kids and doing parent things, women looking to start families already have them, so you are forced to date younger (some people don’t want that kind of dynamic). And having a kid at 50 means they’re going to experience losing a parent at a very young age.

I’ve had the opposite experience. Women I’ve dated who have it together and are physically attractive are often looking for a perfect guy, which I can seem to be on the surface. These kinds of women aren’t looking for someone to bring them down. I had an ex who told me she cared about me and would support it, but that if I got on antidepressants she just wouldn’t find me attractive anymore and couldn’t help that. Now I just don’t tell people I’m on them and don’t let anyone close enough to find …

And when you hit your late 20's/early 30's, no one gives two shits what's in the top 40, and only guys who didn't get laid when they were young still obsess over sex. Think forward to being 40. Are the 40 year olds you know/can imagine who think getting laid is their purpose in life the guys you want to be like?

It's also a self-punishing belief. If a woman has a problem with it, she will severely limit her dating options as she earns more and more. If she doesn't have a problem with it, then a lot less so, except for the men as you say who can't be with a woman who earns more than them, but she's not trying to be with those men anyway. I've seen successful women become miserable as they entered their 30's, unable to find their equal/superior. I've also seen successful women shed the need for a higher e…

/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/22 08:52 PM

I'm a man who feels the same way. Taking a long break at least. The last few relationships have felt like the women expected the man to carry the entire partnership, while their acquiescence and sex were enough of a contribution from them. It also didn't help that I had successively terrible break ups where the women went batshit on me for having an honest conversation about this (repeated calls, paragraph texting, yelling, crying etc). I get it, they have a ton of options all over their social …

Yeah but this isn't some gimme. At some point it takes/took a lot of work to be "qualifiable". Sure genetics are a huge help if you started out attractive, but as you get older being the "hot guy" isn't enough because the young hot girls have young hot guys, and the older women are looking for men with more than looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/22 05:10 PM
9

This is true until you hit like 30. Then it suddenly becomes not as important, because you're never going to look as good as the hot dudes in their 20's no matter what you do, and after that point being a "hot guy" as your main thing is not that cool.

I agree that the age of majority should be raised and consolidated. But once you can be conscripted and taxed, I think you should be able to do whatever you want as long as it doesn't affect other people. Otherwise you're not an adult.

I don't have a position on this issue yet, but are you advocating that women 18-23 be denied the right to vote, work, contract, do porn, smoke cigarettes, etc.? Like, are they adults or aren't they? When exactly, exactly, is that trigger, because we need to know to have laws around it. It's also telling that your scenario considers only an older man and a younger woman. Do you have the same energy if a 20 year old frat guy dates a 39 year old cougar?

I give up my seat to anyone who looks like they need it more than me -- old people, visibly injured/disabled people, visibly distressed people. That includes a pregnant person if they look like they're struggling. But I have zero obligation to do that if I am hurt, tired, have a very long way to go, or just don't feel like it, and I don't owe them an explanation. My seat was already taken when they decided to get on the train.

Right I'm not judging or even commenting on the validity of your past decisions, tried to make that clear so sorry if it wasn't. What I'm saying is, from purely a chemical preference perspective, as a young probably hot woman in your 20's, your romantically irrational self went with someone more traditionally "manly" and not emotionally vulnerable in a healthy way, whatever that means to you now. And yeah you may have learned this lesson through overcoming a lot of personal hardships for it, and…

Yes but my point is, and sorry for the bluntness but just getting my point across, the guy you decided to mate with was not emotionally vulnerable, which you are now advocating men be in order to attract "healthy women" because you foster it in your son, a male you are not sexually attracted to. What guys are saying is is that those women don't exist, and women like you say they want one thing, but their actions show the opposite, as yours do -- raising your son to be vulnerable, but when it cam…

That sounds noble but the issue for me becomes when cops or prosecutors do dumb stuff (for example) that still doesn't absolve the defendant of his obvious guilt for a heinous crime, and then a good defense lawyer will get a dangerous criminal acquitted in the name of giving him "the best defense he can get". And how is this a ppd at all? Anyway I agree with his assessment except the 6'4" example. That isn't the same thing at all, anyone is allowed to be into anything so posting about the 6 4 guy is fine and she would have no obligation to think of the "billions" of shorter men getting their feelings hurt by negative implication, that made no sense and had nothing to do with an otherwise cogent post about vanity.

It won't because men will just have to pick up the slack, and women will take care of the less physically demanding stuff for equal pay, thank you very much.
/r/MensRights23/06/19 04:42 PM

But it's discriminatory to require all firefighters to carry the same weight. Women deserve their gender allocated spot too, and if it comes to carrying adults out of a burning building, just have a man do that and the woman can take care of safer and less physically demanding support tasks outside. But also women doing that should be paid as much as men, because that's equality. /s

You're right, it's usually not appropriate. You can't bring up all his past convictions purely to show that he is guilty this time. But if every time in the past he sold drugs, he used a unique deaddrop, if we need to prove he had certain contacts he's now saying he doesn't know, if we need to prove that it's him texting when he inevitably claims his phone was stolen during that time... there's a lot of ways to make it a subjective call by the judge, who may very well still keep it out.
