You will be fine! There’s plenty of fish (as cliche as it sounds) especially at your age range. I had a lot of fun, a very dynamic dating life in all respects. I got in to shape, got to my fighting weight and had a blast. What I found to be the best secret; just being me. So be you. Don’t concern yourself with how to groom yourself for others attention. Just be you 100%. Finding yourself is forever, but finding your absolute values and no negotiables can be now and those can shift as you navigat…

Sorry you’re experiencing it that way brother. In CA I didn’t have the same experience. We had a mediator, she was very fair. Even helped re align my ex wife’s view of what she felt entitled to. Our mediator said the courts favor having both parents in the kids life. They are not out to intentionally break up a parental role to a child. Courts also favor consistency, so if you can create that right now I’d encourage you to.

Honestly, just cut the cord brother. Take the settlement, whatever it’s represented as and move on. Work on being a good father and forget about her and how unfair it may be. Just work on you

I get it man. Separated 4months. 50% custody. I used to ask my wife to do house shit if there was any to do when she was home instead of hanging out with her mom every once in awhile. I didn’t say don’t hang out with her, just occasionally if there is stuff to do maybe do that first. That came off as controlling. Being alone without my kids for the first few times, and honestly even now can get pretty dark in my head. It’s tough man. This isn’t what I wanted. When I do have my kids I pour love i…

None of this is easy, a normal amicable outcome is a fantasy for few that comes to fruition. The best YOU can do is be concerned about how you can love your daughter, continuously pouring love into her. The ex wife’s mental outcome, how she revers you or where she points blame is NO LONGER your concern. It is time now for you to worry about you and your daughter, not anyone else. Because no matter how much we care or want to help or shift perception, people are responsible for them selves. You h…

I’m currently going thru this. STBX moved out 3months ago. We have a 5yr old and 2yr old. We have been maintaining a 50/50 split. I feel that same as you brother. The first couple weeks was the roughest. The first official night without them was a dark night. It gets better. I now have a stronger bond with both of them, since our time together is with just me. Just pour more and more love into them. You will feel fulfilled and your kids will adore you. If you go through with the divorce, just kn…

I am trying REALLY hard not to say fuck it and get an attorney to have her awakened. I don’t want that, because I don’t want to become the poison that she has. Also an attorney wants 5K retainer. I’ve had conversations with attorneys, free phone consultation, and mediators. I’ve gotten a general just of what would happen if we went formal.

This is one of the only things I have to hang on to, knowing in time I will look back and realize what a waste of time. Our children are the only good thing that came from our union.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
