it's often comes down to the stereotypical and outdated ideology that women are the weaker sex They are the weaker sex; that's demonstrably the case. The problem is that people think weaker means defenseless or that weaker means unable to inflict harm/damage. Men may be stronger than women, but that advantage is gone the moment she picks up something to use as a weapon.

Feminist: Being a feminist just means being for gender equality. MRA: What about all the feminist figures that say that men are inferior or that call for male genocide? Feminist: I mean that REAL feminists are just for gender equality.

the escalator gets you there faster and easier. Not sure how that works into the analogy because going into petroleum engineering over art or gender studies is definitely NOT easier the easier choice. Engineering is hard and stuff like gender studies takes no effort. What would make more sense is if the elevator and steps went to different floors/heights. The "easy" route would be gender studies, art, etc. and would be the escalator while there would be stairs for the males. However, the stairs …

They didn't lose their customer base, though. The only lost the men that saw the commercial and disliked it and that buy their own products. Most men haven't even seen it before, much less care about it. Not to mention, women do far more of the shopping, so, given that they're the target market and likely to buy their husband his products when she's out shopping, it makes her more likely to choose Gillette since the ad was aimed at women to begin with.

No, I wouldn't say as a whole, at least. Some of that content can actually be pretty helpful. I've watched some some NSFW ASMR before and it's been really helpful in helping me relax, for instance. The therapeutic stuff like NSFW audio is actually something that I find really useful, personally. Nothing wrong with photography and cosplay. I like seeing that stuff, as well. Women are also largely in control of the mating process as women are selective maters. Hence, since they are the "gatekeepers", they hold a degree of "power" in that regard. I believe that them shaming men is them attempting to enforce what they believe is each man's "place" in the hierarchy. I think that they also do it because women get a lot of their value from the mate that they're able to attract and, if the mate they attract isn't "up to snuff", it's sort of like saying that they didn't ha…

Most likely. It definitely is. It's not that surprising that it happens, though. Stuff like that is everywhere. Messages like that start out in the earlier grades of school. Boys are taught at that age that there's something wrong with them and that there's something damaging about them that hurts women. I believe it's also the case why women like Belle Delphine are as popular as they are and why there are men paying her the ridiculous amount they are. Mental health problems, money to waste on t…

I honestly don't get it. I think the only reason some guys still give them money and attention is because they're desperate, have absolutely no self-respect, and boobs are boobs whether the person who has them or is drawing them treats the guy like shit or not. I suspect that they just ignore their despicable personalities and just enjoy the eye-candy since it's there.

Two resources that would be a lot of help learning about MRA's are through watching The Red Pill documentary by Cassie Jaye, if you haven't already. Additionally, I'd recommend checking out the following, as well, for info (Some are MRA's and/or anti-feminists): Warren Farrell Honey Badger Radio (YT channel) Karen Straughan Tom Golden Janice Fiamengo Paul Elam Harry Crouch A few others you can check out that "technically" aren't MRA's -- some still call themselves "Feminists" but they're nothing…

Not necessarily. They might have certain things a bit easier, but that doesn't mean that their life is "better" or more worth living than someone who isn't rich.
/r/MensRights20/08/19 04:07 PM

Just because there are injustices against men doesn't mean that women necessarily "live a better life." Life sucks whether you're male or female. If one looks more "appealing" or "easier" than the other, it's most likely due to not knowing their experiences.

a.) Its affected me negatively in a variety of ways. I'll give one example, though. As part of Title IX, I was required to sit through "training" on "consent" which was one of the most patronizing "lessons" I've received in my entire life. It's extremely insulting to men to have to take courses like that because the overwhelming majority of men know what consent is and even the men who are guilty of things such as rape are perfectly aware of what consent is and they just don't care and they're n…

Then why bother? If both groups are just bs, then what's the point? The whole reason for having such a group is to convey a set of ideas to others not familiar with them in order to convince them that something is important and should be done about it and to begin working towards that. If people in the group aren't presenting a consistent argument, then there's no point to continue it because they're not going to convince anyone when they're all just pulling numbers out of their ass.
/r/MensRights19/08/19 03:17 AM

Yes, and if you've got someone that's neither an MRA nor a Feminist and you want to convince them, they'll think both are full of shit if they're not consistent about their figures and, if one is consistent, they'll be more likely to believe them over the other.
/r/MensRights19/08/19 03:09 AM

And someone does do more -- men. It's true that it doesn't matter when it comes to that, but it does matter getting such facts straight as people will think that MRA's are just making things up if they aren't consistent about keeping their stats straight.

Not only are you far, FAR more likely to be raped in a prison as a male than a woman on the streets, but there's no one to stop them from doing it. There are no cops for you to call because they don't give a shit. Women are the most protected class in the world, so if they scream for help, people come running. If a guy in prison were afraid of rape, people wouldn't ever hear him and, if they knew it happened, they'd cheer for it. These are totally different.

Young people having sex less in general does not translate to the number of celibate men to celibate women going from almost 1:1 to 2:1; there's more going on than just young people having sex less in general or it would still be about 1:1. Its gone up slightly for women, but nearly doubled for men.

One of the other students in one of the programs at Baylor that I know was accused by a student of some charges like unwanted advances. He was a sort of awkward guy and I suspect what he did was just something she misunderstood. He got sent to the Title IX offices and he's been removed from the program. In the past couple of years, Baylor is very rapidly becoming anti-male at an alarmingly high rate.

It's so ironic because I've seen so many signs about "toxic masculinity" presentations, conferences, and workshops advertised all over campus, as well, and then crap like this happens. Baylor is very rapidly becoming anti-male as a counter-measure to the accusations of sexual assault that have happened on campus.

It's because, when men are raped, it's not ever called rape; it's usually phrased like "woman sexually forces herself onto a man" or "woman forces a man into sex" because they can't seem to put use the words "woman rape man" in that particular order.

It amazes me that they really believe that shaming men and guilt tripping them is going to help them overcome feelings of worthlessness and lack of purpose and meaning. The fact that they're doing exactly what you would do if you were trying to amplify the problem leads me to believe that it's by design.

Arguing that circumcision is "good/healthy" because it can sometimes remove the possibility for penile cancer is plain stupid. It would make more sense to remove women's breasts given how high the rates of breast cancer is as removing their breasts would help them prevent it. No one is going to advocate for that, though, because of how absurd the notion is of removing part of your body just to prevent certain types of cancer.

Young women of today have no issue with self-esteem. I don't think this is entirely true. Social media, especially in high school, is detrimental to a lot of young girls' self-esteem. Lots of young girls suffer from self-esteem issues. I think a lot of it goes away over time, but it's simply not the case that women of today have self-esteem issues; lots of them have it.
