How are things? How are people around you treating you or people treating you in general? Do you have a support structure, people you can reach out to? Biggest worry as a man you are having. Feel free to ignore if too personal or inappropriate.

From the second link The maintenance can be declined, in the event, it is proved and established that the wife is living in adultery. Living in adultery means a continued adulterous conduct and not a single or occasional lapse. Solitary act of adultery or on isolated lapse of wife, will not disentitle the wife to claim the maintenance. The burden of proof of un-chastity is on the husband. Unless it is found that at the relevant point of time, the wife was actually living in adultery, she is not …

It's the desensitization of violence against men. In movies it has become so accepted that we have to come up with new and fancy ways of killing men to make it entertaining for the masses.

I don't know if the child actually suffers from gender dysphoria. If the kid does then gender affirming care should be provided. If the mother is forcing it then it is is abuse. Court should order the kid to live with a relatives(away from both parents) for a few months and get an updated psychological evaluation. However I don't appreciate that some people think transphobia is okay giving this scenario as justification.

No. There are two options and neither should be forced. If he wants to stay he can stay, if he doesn't, he can leave.

I know the result is misandric but it is mostly institutions trying to look inclusive on cheap. Since men's restrooms have both stalls and urinals, they just need to replace the label. Not saying that's how people should be doing it.

No. Emotions are necessary. There are posts by men who are just venting, posts by men who just want someone to acknowledge what they are going through, posts by teens worried about their future, women worried about men in their lives and wanting to understand better, posts when men share their big or small victories in life, and so on. You cannot use logic on everything. I am not saying to ignore people who post maliciously, or are trying to harm the sub, or are being obtuse on purpose. Then, I …

I never understood the "killed by other men" argument. If a woman is raped, assaulted, harmed, or murdered by another woman, does it make it okay or justifiable Since another women did that? No it doesn't. Why is it an argument against violence against men?

I am not saying it is because of feminism but it has definitely played some part in it. Especially the awareness among the allies. Even if it might have been for their own benefit. British colonized India, did many bad things. Fucked many things up. However some of the changes they brought were beneficial for the country. Like railways. Not saying they did it from the goodness of their heart but it did end up being helpful.

A pretty biased and unhelpful one TBH. I am not good at this stuff so the post might seem a bit disjointed. Not saying she didn't put forth some valid points but just sharing what I took issue with. I am not knee jerking. Just replying to your statement by giving an example. It's telling that you conflate yourself with woke ideology, and that I can participate in a conversation about men's rights without hijacking it to make it about trans rights or intersectional bullshit. Yes and I am saying that we can do that. Which is usually the case but sometimes there are transphobic comments and posts which causes the topic to derail. Nothing woke about that.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:38 AM
7

yes but we have proof against the flood. The only point people can come up against trans people is that you cannot change your physical structure, chromosomes, or biological sex. Which is true. Also we are painfully aware of the fact hence the dysphoria. The point is gender. Which is a mismatch from the sex.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:32 AM
6

yes and as I've mentioned that that being trans rarely ever comes up unless it is relevant to the discussion. Mostly becomes an issue when someone is being a bigot. It's when posts or comments that are transphobic that derail the issue. You cannot expect people to sit quietly when others are dismissing their existence. an idea: Trans man faces some discrimination for being a man. some people: now a woman knows what it feels like being a man. and such similar BS.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:25 AM
4

sure.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:17 AM

It's not an ideology. It is a biological/neurological reality. I think speaking up is warranted when the movement you support and the people you want to support come back and dismisses your existence.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:15 AM
8

What? That you are transphobic? You are conflating gender and sex which I agree is used interchangeably in common speak. Then using the point to posit that it is pushing men's rights under the rug. Yeah probably a knee jerk reaction to suck BS.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:10 AM

What wokeness? Being trans does not equal to being woke. Fuck off with your transphobic bigotry that you are spreading under the guise of men's rights. You are just being an equivalent of a TERF for both genders. I might be blind because I do not see trans men who are men come here can complain about people misgendering them. Yields are an important factor. The point I was making with the example of avocados is that it is primarily profit driven despite being destructive to the environment. /r/MensRights26/07/22 08:12 AM

Nobody said that. At least not me. Just saying that how OP is painting the article is disingenuous. They are saying that it is a market that can be looked into. We have friggin acres of avocado farms despite it having hugely negative environmental impacts. It is nowhere near a staple food. So don't tell me we are only focusing on yields for resolving world hunger. We need food and farmers also need money to survive. I understand that. Article doesn't say that plants are sexist or that farmers are sexist or scientists are sexist. Just stating that R&D is mostly done for higher yield type which is preferred by male farmers. Rather than other factors like taste, smell, etc, which are preferred by female farmers. That's what the article said. I skimmed it but I don't think it directly or indirectly called plants sexist.

It is a matter of opinion. I think breasts are sexual parts. Adults should not be flashing them to kids. Hence the tangent about MAPs.(if this is fine then that should also be fine type of thing) You don't think breasts are sexual parts and are fine with an adult flashing them to kids. That's basically the entire argument we are having.
/r/MensRights03/07/22 02:39 AM
10

Sure. I suppose while we are at it we should let pedos and MAPs creep on kids as long as they do it discreetly , from a distance, and never approach kids. I mean the kids aren't seeing any sexual parts. Should be alright for you I suppose. I know I might be committing a few fallacies here but I am too tired to cared for that right now.
/r/MensRights03/07/22 02:24 AM

I know I'm not able to explain it properly but we as a society consider that breasts are sexual parts.

It's a fantasy and wish fulfillment. The idea of losing control and being unsure what's going to happen next can be arousing. Normal people usually don't date super hot looking people. Normal people aren't insanely loaded. Also normal people have other things to do than being obsessed with once person and catering to their needs all the time.

Depends though. HR is primarily there to protect the company. They'll do whatever to not cause a stink. Also the personal beliefs of the HR personnel does affect their judgement. Yes men should definitely report such incidents so that only women are victims narrative is challenged, but there is a high chance of being made the bad guy or of a backlash.

They are a secondary sex organ. Talking strictly in terms of gender binary and of heterosexuality, since that's majority of the population. Most women don't find random pecs attractive. You don't just get strong, hard, and shapely pecs during puberty. You have to workout and put in effort for them. Also you don't put in effort only for pecs, there the other surrounding area, arms, torso, shoulders, back, etc. Giving an overall feeling of strength. Men in most cases find breasts sexually attracti…

And feminism is a social movement that advocates for economic, political, and social equality between women and men. If we are going by definitions. Also actions of a few does not represent the entire community and no I'm not condoning such crimes.

Transphobia aside. That's very misandric of you to assume that someone with a penis would without a doubt want to SH/SA a woman. People just want to do their business and go. If you are afraid of seeing penises in women's restroom then maybe you should stop peeping in the stalls. Women don't roam around showing their privates in the common spaces of a toilet. Why are you expecting trans women to do otherwise?

Nobody is giving gender reassignment surgeries to minors. The earliest you can get is 16, if you are considered an adult at 16 for that state/country. As I've mentioned in a separate comment, getting GRS doesn't make sense anyway as these body parts don't grow like a normal body part along with a growing kid. SO the bill is targeting something that isn't even a problem.
/r/MensRights10/04/22 05:53 PM
14

Minors are not legally or otherwise allowed to get Gender Affirmative Surgeries. Children are not well informed to understand the gravity of the decision. Also unlike natural body parts, the parts made through GRS do not grow with age. Making that a useless idea anyway.
/r/MensRights10/04/22 03:16 PM

Why even bother with with consent then, if it doesn't mean shit? A person's word has value when it is kept. Not when you can go back anytime. P.S. Not condoning rape or sexual assault. I also understand coercion is a thing.

Google has a huge left-bias. Which in itself wouldn't be a problem if they didn't have control over almost everything digital. Also suspected and known for doing shady stuff for profit. Spying on people, manipulating search results for profit and on the basis of their bias, etc. I hope you do remember James Damore.

So you have decided to become a sexist. /s Jokes aside I think this is a very good thing that you are trying to do. Though personally I think trans men should be included because they are men and face discrimination too. You can add a caveat for eligibility that they should not have taken any women's only scholarship or something.

I think the main issue is that men have to register for draft or they lose certain privileges but no such thing for women. No better way to say that men are disposable and if they want "citizenship" they should be ready to die for it.

As a grown adult it is wrong to be attracted to a 13 yo. Regardless of gender. Seriously. Kids are ALWAYS off limits sexually when you are an adult. Though it is sad that a man's relationship(non sexual) with a kid is always viewed with suspicion. We have seen many cases of cops being called on fathers/father figures with young children without the presence of a female partner.

When you have been continuously drinking the cool-aid you end up assigning the ideology to you own identity. "I am a feminist." For most people it translates to "I am a good person and I fight against injustice." When you challenge that, you are challenging their identity. Hence all the hate. Just my opinion though.

Toxic masculinity is BS. Just a way to victim blame men while pretending to show concern. Men have almost zero avenues of support when it comes to DV, rape, or sexual assault. Most therapists don't know how to handle issues men face. No one notices a man barely holding it under pressure. They only notice it when either the man breaks down or goes on a rampage. Then made into another example of "toxic masculinity". Men are people too. Just because they don't express their feelings in the "right w…

I read a similar article about Women's DV NGOs years ago. The more "victims" of DV are women, more funding they'll get. Victims in quotes is not to discredit real victims of DV but just because such NGOs coach women on how to file for divorce using false DV and dowry accusations and get he most out of it. They don't care about truth or justice but only that a woman should always win even if she's in the wrong.

Great job twisting my words. Never said people who are raped should die. What I said was death is preferable when you are being raped again and again and you have no way to stop it or you know that's going to be your fate. There are also documented instances of women killing themselves when a castle was besieged to avoid being raped by the enemy. You can look up seppuku and jauhar. Anyway. I don't get why you want to kill people who are raped? It is not about the count it is about when the person decides they have had enough. Many victims of rape decide to end their lives many don't. the problem here is being raped again and again and later forced to bear children of their rapists without any other choice. Most people here are not saying that men should be left to die. Women being made rape slaves and men being tortured and killed and not mutually exclusive problems. Both can exis…

No. It is being raped so much that you wish you were dead. In a normal society a person who has been raped has a chance to heal and move on. Maybe get justice too. However in this case the only option is to be constantly raped with no end to the suffering. Edit: More words

As I said in my comment that if you have some kind of rapport with the person they would be okay with it then go ahead. No it's not thought policing. You can fap thinking about whoever you want. Telling someone that you fap thinking about them is sexual harassment. This is assuming that you and the other part doesn't have a mutual understanding and are not open to discussing sexual stuff. That's downright creepy. You initiated a sexual conversation with a person involving that person without the mutual consent. Why don't you think it's sexual harassment?

You know in movies and anime when you get to know the back story of some bad people you sympathize with them. Feminists don't want that to happen with men that they spent all this time painting as villains. When people will start sympathizing with the vulnerability and suffering of men they will see that men are not the monsters they are made out to be and that will be the end of feminism. Hence the systemic delegitimizing and mocking of men's suffering. Please don't mind my spellings. I'm sligh…

Most homeless are men and most dangerous jobs are done by men. Related to the class structure. Feminists…

I doesn't matter who is making the laws. It matters what laws are being made and who has the sway to decide those. In most countries it is the feminists. Universities are under their control. Governments, media and corporations wants to appease them. Even if I give you the point that men and screwing over other men then why aren't feminists fighting against this injustice. Why are they silent and lapping up the advantages they are getting at the expense of men? Aren't they all for equality of th…

It's not rape if a woman does it. The boy clearly wanted it. He must think of child support as a tribute for making him cool. /s This double standard sickens me to the core. Nobody gives a damn about kids being raped or the impact on their mental health during their formative years if it was done by a woman. Young boys personality reduced to mere wild animal. He is a boy he must have wanted it since men are always horny and only think of sex. Gaslighted to believe that he was lucky he got a to f…

you essentially hate equality between genders. You’re trying to campaign for rights of one sex while dismissing equality of the sexes. It just becomes an echo chamber. I think you just described feminism.

Looks like it's opposite day. Jokes aside. I won't deny there aren't some people who are blatant misogynists on this sub. There are some who are hurt by women and as a result bitter. There are obvious trolls and feminists who try to sabotage the sub by posting deliberate misogynistic stuff. However for the short time I've been here such people are almost always called out and down-voted. Not including posts/links where a woman or some women are being called out for their crimes(violence, child a…

That's what grinds my gears. Feminists bitching and moaning when men post on threads which only focuses on women but ignore men for the same problem. Whine that why do men have to make everything about themselves and take the spotlight away from women. Like really? Does anyone even bother to listen to men? DO they even get to raise the issue on their own without being shut down by being labeled as hateful? There are obvious misogynists but there are many men hurt by women and the system who lash…

I think one of the major reasons is the demonization and the stigma attached to MRM. Which leads many men to stay away from the movement. Even if they want to they might decide against it due to the fear of being labeled as a misogynist. And we all know it only takes a mere accusation to ruin a man's life. It is sad but it takes a woman to tell others that men have problems for people to not discard it as BS. I'm sorry I don't know what can be done to alleviate the issues faced by men

From what all I have come across circumcision the term used specifically for describing the procedure of removing a man's foreskin. And was under the impression it was a gendered term. Though someone did share a definition recently that seems to include women too.

Circumcision is a gendered term. There is no female equivalent of it. Everything comes under FGM. Sadly mutilation of men's genitals is not considered mutilation at all.

Both are different cases though. No one condones rape. Rapes happen and they are horrible. As you mentioned some are even more horrible. That does not give any one the justification to hit men. The guy wasn't eve teasing, stalking, groping or trying to sexually assualt the woman. It was a vehicular accident. The woman was beating the guy in front of many peole and a cop too knowing full well that there won't likely be any consequences. Even though it was her fault. If it were a guy he would be a…

We do live in a rape culture but it's fir men. A woman in most countries can rape a man with no or barely any consequence at all. Men aren't believed that they were or could be raped. Can be deemed a rapist just by words alone.

I won't call it a circle jerk but raging and generalizing won't do us any good. What's even good stooping to a typical feminist's level? They have all the power in media, judiciary and government. I can understand the anger and frustration men must feel on how society treats them but the goal here is to bring about change. Feminists can cherry pick interactions and paint the entire movement as bad. They are very good at it. You can call me a hypocrite for generalizing feminists.

Never claimed that was okay either. Just saying that killing infants and fetuses based on their gender is horrible. Not a men's rights or feminism issue but a humanitarian one. The mothers are making a choice and it's their body , therefore their choice In India it is usually not the case. In many cases it is the pressure from the family. These are nothing but clumps of cells, so it is no different than if they were having a wart removed. I cannot say about China but female infanticide has been a big problem in India. It is based on the archaic beliefs that daughters are to be handed to someone else and cannot take care of parents and also cannot further the family name/lineage. Hence there are strict laws against knowing or trying to know you baby's gender before birth. Though in many cases even newborns are murdered or literally thrown away. I don't understand why is there even a debate? It doesn't matter if it doesn't cause harm. It's about bodily autonomy of a baby who cannot give consent. It is a non necessary procedure. Being done due to religious reasons or because it is common does not give it free pass. What's wrong is wrong. FGM or MGM done without consent is and always will be wrong.
